@ dcrj: this is why "galaxy quest" is such a great movie.

i had the g.i. joe version. and it was awesome.

@ santos: peeve alert!

soap and brush (badger hair) is the way to go. i use twin blades, cause they are fairly inexpensive. just shaving the neck & cheeks means they last a while too. even with the beard, i still have to shave every morning. i considered (and still do) a straight razor, but the upkeep of the blade is the major obstacle

i was starting to warm to eck as well, but i'm glad to have remy back. though, i believe he's only doing home games for now. so, unless eck wants to go on the road, it's going to be the rotating "what former red sox player lives around here?" gig.

i blame DVRs. they figure if everyone is going to skip the commercials, they need to get the promos in somehow.

i second the beard. you still have to shave, but not as much.

@ otp: i think the crazy faction can be ignored in the equation. nothing unites that sort of person but hate.

i always coupled drug use with gaming.

no, no, NO! susan is Death's grand-daughter. sheesh.

@ missa: designer water? why does that even exist?

why it won't happen: most highly accomplished professionals are not desperate for fame. they have it. these people competed for charity. sure, good marketing all around, but none of them needed the exposure, being already well known. no risk for the contestants means less drama.

pseudo-remake?
can anything based on the arthurian myths really be a remake? much as i enjoyed excalibur, it didn't present a unique take on the tales.

real carbona has no cream. spagehetti, pancetta, oil, garlic (optional) and eggs. it is simple and divine, but pretty much the only way to get it done right is to make it yourself. most restuarants shy away from using the pasta to cook the egg for the sauce.

the perils of surfing.

@ frito: neither. perhaps using the documentary format is a newish angle, but it's not like this sort of stuff hasn't been happening since we learned how to tell stories.

looks like a still from a cinemax skin flick.

hell, my parents bought a wii. that's part of the sales success.

@ jorge: my quibbles. first, that would require divisonal realignment. you'd need either 4 divisions (not enough teams) or just 2. neither seems particularly a good choice. not to mention that, given there are people who still argue the wild card is a bad thing, expanding to 4 divisions would mean there were just
