So there's already an LC! backlash? Over the course of this year, I must've listened to "Hold On Now Youngster" somewhere in the course of 100 times and I haven't gotten bored with it yet. The new album is great too.

2008
* Really? I loved that Los Campesinos! record. Both of them. Yes, there's another one
* Other great releases of 2008 include those by Laura Marling, Why?, Beach House, Noah and the Whale, Midnight Juggernauts, Does It Offend You Yeah?, Bauhaus and Liam Finn
* The Ting Tings: Are horrible. With the exception of…
or maybe we can hope and pray that it's "Two and a Half Men". I personally thinks that Neilsen pays the Neilsen Families to watch "Two and a Half Men" as apart of some sort of payola type thing. Maybe some sort of scandal can bring it down. And maybe it can be found out that every non-Neilsen box equipped home is…
Woo
XTC - These guys were a great singles band and I agree with you that the wave of bands influenced by them were great, especially cult favorites Dogs Die in Hot Cars (please, come back)
I didn't finish that Wire comment didn't I? the last word is "mouthful". Damn you Firefox Refresh.
yeah.
Wire - The thing i've always loved about Wire is that they named their best, most accessable song "Map Ref. 41N 93W". A gorgeous song that's a mouth
ABC
If ABC picks up "King of the Hill", this will be the second show they'd be saving from doom from another network this year alone (the other being "Scrubs"). Why are they doing this? To make up for the fact that "Pushing Daisies" will almost more than likely be canceled?
…
We Are Scientists - You DELETED We Are Scientists?
That's what I was thinking too (if and/or when the show ended), but it's pretty much the logical end point for the series anyway.
Claude
I keep wondering "When are they gonna bring back Christopher Eccelston to play Claude?" Then I think to myself, "No, they'll only kill him 5 minutes after returning and ruin any chance of saving this show". Even Kristen Bell, who's return I was waiting for, kind of fell flat.
Yeah, but anyway
This looks like a book i'll read for 15 minutes in a Barnes & Noble.
So, Providence gets no love?
Why? it is because the only store that carried The Onion (Newsbreak in Middletown, Rhode Island) moved to New Bedford, Massachusetts because the landlord of the mini-mall they were in terminated their lease because the nearby furniture store wanted both ends of the minimall?
Thing
I liked "The Escapist" alot, but the rest of the album was EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTING.
I agree that "The Invisible Band" (with the exception of "Sing") was a pretty poor album. It didn't come close to the quality of "The Man Who" or match the feelings I had for that album when it came out.
So, Where Was I?
They Might Be Giants: Alot of fans believe they completely fell apart after "Flood" and the remainder of their albums had a few fantastic songs, and alot of filler (or in the case of "The Spine", "I Can't Hide From My Mind" and alot of filler). But i've never betrayed TMBG, I still buy all their…
What Else…?
The Strokes: I too was disappointed by "Room on Fire". Aside from "12:51" (which is one of my favorite Strokes songs ever) and possibly "Reptilia", nothing on that album is as good as "Is This It" or even "Reptilia"'s B-side, the Regina Spektor duet "Modern Girls and Old Fashioned Men".
I would've also accepted "Sylar has essentially become Mega Man and/or Kirby".
Stuff That I Just Thought About
Squeeze: I like Squeeze. They made some interesting songs ("Pulling Mussels From the Shell", "Black Coffee In Bed", the little known but extremely satisfying "Christmas Day", "Take Me, I'm Yours" and "Tempted") and were never really popular in either the US or UK until they made…
okaythen
I usually think to myself that whenever Sylar kills a minor character and takes their power, the writers thought "hey! this power is cool! let's give it to Sylar so we can see it twice again this season and then never again! Who cares if the minor character was interesting at all?"
Sorry I didn't read that. Mostly because that "Greatest Drummers" thread thing went on for an eon.
