This is getting STUPID

Everytime I've come across the candiru in reading (which, to be fair, doesn't happen all that often), my mind immediately puts "dreaded" in front of it. All beware the dreaded candiru!

If you mean the

He did give them ample warning though. Like, 5 minutes worth.

@Scrawler2:disqus The former. He is a pretty big deal but if I remember correctly, he doesn't show up until the 3rd or 4th season. Just you wait!

Don't get me wrong, I dig what they did and the episode was hilarious. It just kind of threw me for a loop to have an episode take place "in the past" without any real acknowledgement of it beyond visual clues.

And the two cats who were…nuzzling each other affectionately, to put it lightly.

Have there been other examples of episodes taking place during previous ones? It just seems so odd to have this episode come so much after BMO Noire.

I still don't think i get the difference. Catsup is more watery? I thought they were interchangeable. Firefox spell check doesn't even recognize catsup as a word. This is indeed a disturbing universe.

So it looked like how all fairy tales used to look - nightmarish. I'd say Fuller and co. did a good job.

I took the random arm makeouts to just be an in-joke between Jake and P-Bubs. They are rubbery friends with rubbery jokes. No one else can truly understand.

I was wondering about this in another thread. Maybe the Crown itself has some memory and Gunther was someone important to the Previous Ice King. Or maybe even the first Ice King.

Oh man, I totally misread it too quickly. I read it originally as "Good song! I haven't heard it before" which made me laugh but then also feel sad. Darker laugh. Still like it though!

Everyone should check out the top comment in the youtube link of the Cheers theme. Not often do youtube comments make me laugh, but this one is pretty good.

Also isn't PB 18? Unless she's being constantly rejuvinated I think it's safe to say the goo is pre-PB.

I think so yea - I believe Marceline is a half demon (thus the pointy ears), and becomes a vampire later on in life as a teenager. So even though earth was much as we know it now, there is still other dimensions going on. The Ice King crown has to get its power from somewhere, so magic is real too.

I think we basically did - the fact that he called her Gunther at the end, without the crown, showed that he had just crossed the point of no-return. This was the moment when he could no longer fight of the Power of the Crown. By being a hero.

Yea, I took the goo to show the beginning transitions to the land of Ooo. It's a chemcial byproduct/mutation, but instead of being a terrifying green goo monster, is a yummy gum thing. So basically P-Bub's great great great etc grandparents.

When I saw them in Dallas about 2 years ago, someone yelled out "Be My Head" loud enough for Wayne to acknowledge it, and his response was "I don't think we even know how to play that song anymore" so no, I doubt they play any of this era's stuff. Which is a shame cause I agree that early-to-mid 90's Flaming Lips is

Trust me, the raccoon is the best character. He's a great raccoon. Who is also a munitions expert. He has rockets. Rocket Raccoon. I'm not sure how better to explain it.
