RE: Kira, yea, apparently only a few months ago, and only with the flash on. So presumably she's just been avoiding photos or just hanging out during the day a lot more.

This is over a year late, but I just saw the episode for the first time,
and I was reading the review/comments and have something to say, so here goes!

Favorite long arc: Brief Lives.

Well, not anymore. He gave up his life/immortality/godhood to save Jake. Abraham Lincoln then died in 1865, and all that remains (or ever remained?) on Mars is a statue.

You're right, and I wouldn't be willing to trade free will for world peace either.

My mind went to Season 4 of Angel, where *SPOILERS* world peace is achievable if we accept a few human sacrifices here and there. And my reaction was the same to both - any attempt at world peace/a better society that involves a bit of murder here and there isn't one I'd be willing to take part of. So I cheered when

All the footage of The World's End are from the trailers, so if you've seen those, you won't see anything new. If you've been avoiding the trailers, avoid this until after you've seen the movie.

Nice use of Battles - Ice Cream for the Shaun part.

WELL IF YOU INSIST

I'd watch Sandman Mystery Theatre so much. Twice even!

I mostly agree with you, but at the Alamo Drafthouse, you can at least get food. But yea, three movies in a row wouldn't be great.

I've also seen it, and I agree with @avclub-1b9a80606d74d3da6db2f1274557e644:disqus . And if two internet strangers agree on something, it must be true!. But really, it is very awesome.

The version I saw had a bunch of Korean subtitles! Freedom!

Just call 'em the Cheeseheads of the North. I have no idea if that comparison is accurate in terms of the actual teams, but hey, cheese on heads, watermelons on heads, it's a party either way.

Listen: long dark blues.

Some dudes have different color beard/sideburn hair than head hair.

My favorite joke from Adventure Time is still when Finn tries human-flavor tofu and likes it. I guffawed heartily at both the joke and the audacity of it.

It's a thematic trilogy/play on the Three Colors Trilogy.

@avclub-3e9e0f1010418374c3dd9ccf3b0ed27c:disqus , language does indeed have grammatical rules - they just often are entirely unrelated to the "grammar rules" that grammar nazis support. Again, descriptivism rules, but descriptivism doesn't mean "do whatever you want," it means "pay attention to how languages actually

Especially when archaic grammar "rules" are counter to what the language actually allows, from a linguistic perspective. Descriptivism rules, prescriptivism drools.
