I call Jane Austen "chick lit" every once in a while, but only when I'm pulling someone's leg a little. I still don't really enjoy reading her, but I appreciate her as author.

I'll say that I've also dismissed "Bridget Jones's Diary" as chick lit, and some friends of mine would have said this was an unfair dismissal. Having read about 30 pages, I think it was a justified label.

I would say "The Prince of Tides" gets unfairly dismissed as chick lit fairly often.

Great piece. Only issue i have is comparing "too white," which is dismissive and annoying, to "chick lit," which is embraced as a genre title by many authors, readers, publishers, and bookstores…

Well, he also said some things that African-American-y wasn't ready to hear.

I can't believe he murdered that pack of crows!

Ah. I see this now after posting basically the same thing.

Native Magic

Dear lord this was a horrible episode to watch hungover and trying to eat breakfast.

Yeah, I mean I definitely don't think Boyd's super-pumped about it, but there were some people claiming that his reply signified a rift in their relationship, which I totally disagree with.  I think Boyd understands that Ava identifies with violently victimized women and also understood why she acted the way she did

Yost just stated that it was not a "I wish you hadn't done that."

He really is. I'd love to see more of that actor…in movies and tv, I mean…

I don't pay much attention to Business or Donut news, but the Krispy Kreme in Midtown Atlanta seems to still be going strong…

I'm glad you asked the question about Boyd's line, "if that's the decision you needed to make…" so now all the people claiming there was any ambiguity to the way he answered that can be silenced.  Boyd + Ava 4Ever

Wait, what's happening to Krispy Kreme?

As in "the next one's coming even faster"?

Your facts and logic ain't got no business here, son.

Looks like Shawn's been hitting the gym to burn off some of that fat recently. He's definitely looking more muscular, or "pec"-ish, you could say.

Yeah and remember that town in "Picket Fences?" That place was a mess!

I watched the show OnDemand two days after it aired, thought it was over waaay before it was actually over, went to this review, and was 'spoiled' on the ending. I was thinking maybe I was looking at the wrong review.  I mean, obviously, "Forget about it, Sean. It's Santa Barbaratown" was the last line of the episode,
