I think it's more likely that the person who wrote the classified was some intern schlep whose writing skills were terrible to begin with and that by editing his unpaid, amateurish, and edited-for-the-classifieds ad, you weren't really proving much. You should have edited the CEO's biography from their website.

I guess maybe we're supposed to think that Dickie suddenly appearing in their bar threw Boyd off his game? He had just one huge-score planned and all of the sudden, another, skunkier one walks in.
