And (I can't remember if I already wrote this), but it is also part of the larger trend of Justified writers enhancing/enriching even the most minor characters. Here was someone we didn't pay attention to and he comes back in a funny, tough way.

He's more likable than any of the characters from "Inception" and everyone sure liked that fucking movie.

Also, I feel like some parents (especially those who never thought twice about their right to beat their kids) probably don't worry too much how their children perceive them…

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but i'm fairly certain this season will end with you feeling pretty sympathetic to Arlo.
But also, that's just how the world works: some child abusers are lovable, some wife-beaters are sexy, and some Neo-Nazis will make you hope they didn't actually get their kidneys stolen.

Please don't do that. The Repubs will just end up using it in one of their arguments against gay marriage.

I think it's a really interesting insight as to how even abusers are wholly dependent and attached to their abused spouses/ partners/ kids/ whatever.
