I like the Charlie bit b/c:
A: it forces Raylan and Art to acknowledge that each knows what the other doesn't want the other to know. and
B: it settles the plot without destroying any main characters
also
C: it enhances the sense that each character in this show could have a lot more going on than the 30 seconds we see…

Also, that handsome doctor was sooooo handsome.  I'm pretty mad at Boyd for getting him killed…

Yeah, i think Justified is going to have a March Madness -style bracket with its bad guys. Few of them this season have definitively died, so I bet they'll just gauge viewer enthusiasm and bring back the favorites.
