This could be great…
…so long as they remember that these are kids books, not gritty reboot fare.

They gave my daughter nightmares for weeks.

Dave, you're right that most other political movements are pretty fractured and diverse in their opinions as well. Certainly the Republicans and the Democrats are. You're also right that every side unfortuntaly panders to as wide an audience as possible—Michael Moore to 9/11 truthers, the mainstream Right to Deep

It sounds a lot as if it received a low rating because it didn't match the writer's expectations of what the goals of the songs would be. It's more of a mood record (and it sounds like an effective mood record, too) but it was docked points because it wasn't a pure pop melody record.

I'll have to give it a listen first
before I consider buying it.

I would kill to protect my children…
but I'd hope there was something else I could do first. I mean, do instead.

HOPE FLOATS
I knew a girl who honestly thought she must have been reincarnated from whoever that movie must have been based on, because she knew exactly what was going to happen at every point of the movie the first time she watched it.

PLEASE delay it just a little bit. I'm only two chapters in….

Thank you, sir. I appreciate it.

This thread has got me thinking a lot about the overlap between the punk mindset and the Republican/Tea party One. I found myself the other day, as a result of being a somewhat masochistic, too-curious writer-type, in a big crowd of Tea Party people ,yelling the pledge of allegiance at an American flag, and I had to

Worst first ever. Don't ever come back here.

And now, the sunset….

I wish had read this before ordering a copy just moments ago….

Got the one, just ordered the other.
But I noticed there's an expanded edition of RIDDLEY WALKER—does anyone recommend that over the 99-cent 1981 paperback?

Ah. Thanks for pointing that out. Okay, if I had known that, that might have put me off a little. But that doesn't bother me too badly. Besides, boat names repeat themselves A LOT. How many "John B"'s have you seen tied up to a reservoir marina? Or "Hakkunah Mattatta"'s? I know I've seen several.

It was a broad off-hand insult, but I've never heard her say anything very intelligent. Perhaps "dangerously imbalanced" is a more precise term for her. She is dumb, but she may also be cunning.

That's the conclusion that at least two people took away from my comment above—that I like overweight women? Jesus Christ, you people are retarded. Thanks for taking a break from the Maxim forums to come over here, but I think we don't need you around anymore. I am done with this thread.

I think you're right, the Tea Party has no idea what it wants other than, ironically, "change." Change they can believe in. Do they want to run as a third party or run TP-sympathetic candidates as Republicans (and Democrats)? Ask any two and you'll get two answers, though I've sense a certain stigma attached to

Yes, yes, yes, to the Besnard Lakes.

I was a little resentful at first
when I heard the selection would likely get me hooked on a long series of books, but I'm nothing but grateful now. I do think the book stands alone fairly well, but it's obviously the start of something bigger.
