I don't think analyzing a soap is pointless. Mad Men is soapy as hell, Revenge is an awesome nightime soap. It's all about the execution. And the writing on this show has just fallen off a cliff this season.

Oh my god I am so sick of Bates and Anna. They need to make a suicide pact and put us all out of our misery.
"…she's just ancient in a way a man can never be"
I love that her 15 second rap is her literally saying she doesn't give a shit.
Aw man. Now I feel bad that NBC is flopping all over the place. They have so many awesome people working for them.
OK I've watched this like 15 times today. It's just so, so awesome.
Why is she regressing so much? She had like an eight year period of making mature, grown up pop music. This sounds as forgettable as Hard Candy (remember that song she did with Justing Timberlake and Timbaland? Yeah, I don't either).
That album was so great, minus that dumbass song about New York (which is *literally* the worst thing ever).
werk. Get that Super Bowl promo Maya!
His hands sticking out from under the table was a glorious sight gag.
Yeah, I actually agree with this. Reading old reviews is funny because Rabin has this bizarre hate boner for Season 4 which I just don't get at all.
"…i don't see it being discussed on Reddit, 4chan or SomethingAwful,"
It's been pretty mediocre, yeah.
… do we though?
Sharon Needles, representing Pittsburgh! I met her a while back. She was dressed as Peggy Bundy and told me to hail Satan. It was awesome.

Lily Allen had a dry, self aware sense of humour. Del Rey's music seems so deathly serious. I think it's harder to dislike someone who is self-deprecating and funny.
@avclub-0b96d81f0494fde5428c7aea243c9157:disqus If you listened to the album you would get it. Del Rey is a passive sex object throughout every song. Every song is about her need for a man or about her physical appearance. Lyrics like "I'm your little harlot, starlet" "I can be your china doll" are on every track. The…
Eh, okay review. Pitchfork was better though: "For all of its coos about love and devotion, it's the album equivalent of a faked orgasm." Hyping them up to knock them down!
Welp, looks like I don't have to watch this year.
