No, I super super agree with you — that was a big pile of sarcasm that didn't come across right.

I think I'll come around to liking the finale aspect, I just wasn't prepared for it when I went into the theater so it stung a little to watch him lose the reactor and blow up the suits.

She went right from telling him he needed better friends to telling him all about how she was going to fix his grade's for him. Rebekah is a special girl.

Kol and his bloodline were vampires and therefore not people. Or Kol was a jerk and not even his family liked him very much. Or some other nonsense.

Eh, that took like, what? Seven or so deaths? Matt's got some time before the psycho fairy pays a visit.

Elena: the Wolverine

@avclub-011d0b4fe6835bb3d37ef4e0ea713de6:disqus My bet's on Stefan. He was right there to save her. I would not be surprised in the slightest if this was true. It would be kinda awesome.

Yup, they are terrible. They sit on the couch next to each other and I sarcastically call them "the wonder twins." When did this happen? They used to be awesome and the relationship between them used to be one of the big draws of the show. Brotherly hate-love. Now they suck. Like amazingly. It's like they're entirely

Yup, revenge on Katherine takes precedence over whatever crazy shit is going on between Bonnie and Silas. Why? Because Elena says so.

It was definitely an episode with problems…and yet, I felt like it was closer to "old school" tvd than we've had in a while.

Mmm, Matt or more interesting Damon back….Yeah, I'd take Damon too. (I'd cry for Matt's funeral though.)

Oh yeah, I completely bought into it. It was awesome — just like old times, with shock and screaming at the tv "You better not be permanently dead!"

I agree. I thought that Caroline being tormented by Silas was a good return to the show's horror roots. Plus having Caroline drop her keys at the beginning only to get menaced felt like a good call-back to season 1.

I was completely with this movie till the very end. Turns out that the best way to make an Iron Man movie (at least for me) is to keep Tony out of the suit as much as possible. It was awesome watching him scrounge and think his way out of situations, rather than totally relying on his toys. I usually hate kids in

Bruce Banner scene in the US showing I just left.

I read the review and went into the movie expecting to be slightly disappointed. Wow, I'm out of sync with this reviewer, because this was my favorite one of the series.

@avclub-236e42b5af241c85d97910f5c1aa6107:disqus That's interesting. My korean version was 44:09 with opening credits. Not sure how long the iTunes version is.

There's a thread discussing it over on the review of episode 5. Come on over and talk about it.

I completely appreciate the theory behind it — it would be really difficult to keep everyone straight if there wasn't a major difference in style. I think I just don't like first person in general and I really don't like his first person writing in particular. Just sounds odd, compared to the rest of his interesting

I'm a big fan of a condiment called "violet mustard" which is grape must mixed into a spicy mustard. The crushed grape skins make it a bright purple, but it's not really sweet at all. Very good on cheese.
