Oh ok.  It's a bit unclear then how he ended up in Ramsay's prison, in that case— the book it was more straightforward.  It also means, I guess, that Ramsay isn't responsible then for the sack of Winterfell.

I'm a bit confused as to the identity of the man who released/recaptured Theon… is that supposed to be Ramsay?  That is confusing because I thought the guy who clocked him on the head at Winterfell was supposed to be Ramsay, and those are clearly different actors.  It's quite different in the book.
