Finished watching it. Great series overall, but I'd have to echo the comments that episode 10 and 11 were… not the best/lacking in momentum.

Probably two reasons.

The editor-in-chief is having a talk later today - might be an idea to bring up the Music Reviews.

That's something that's always amused me about a person trying to recommend any media.

I think the main issue for me is not so much whether you like Adele or not, it's just that she's reviewed and commented on as a mainstream artist that has "integrity", when I can find little reason for the difference between her and the other major pop stars of today.

It's like your complaining about a Beyonce album because she didn't
have any acoustic guitar songs or that you think FKA Twigs sounded too indie and should have added more mainstream pop hooks like Taylor Swift to her sound.

I'm not big on Adele's stuff either, but I think you're being (more than) just a little over the top.

That's what the songs I've heard from this new album sound like actually - dull Lykke Li knockoffs. Adele has a great voice, but I'm still at a loss why she's treated so reverently - she had a few decent songs in 19 but now she's morphed into sonic Procaine.

Because the post they were replying to was a reactionary pile of garbage?

Limitless is not good. But I guess it can be characterized as mindless entertainment, of a sort.

Completely Off-Topic -

Oh, I'm not trying to criticize AV Club. I mean I'm here talking about this, it would be sheer hypocrisy to chide them for these sort of articles and topics (and they've gotta talk about popular stuff to get their clicks, no qualms against that either).

You could make the argument that if it wasn't some hugely popular franchise with a fervent following then it wouldn't get a fraction of the hate that it does.

I respect your opinion, but I disagree sadly. I find there is not much that is compelling in the trilogy.

You are correct, but if this series, of let's face it, extremely mediocre movies weren't "Star Wars", would anyone be writing articles attempting to find "life in the wreckage". I admire the effort taken above, but I just find it all so pointless.

Entire miniseries watched for review

Hatred? No. Indifference? Yes.

"unintelligible beeps to each other about unknown topics"

Does this mean it won't past the Robo-Bechdel Test?

I completely agree - and I expect you (and others in this comment section)to make the same response(s) when they inevitably review the Adele album.
