I wouldn't say it was bad or not worth watching by any means. I just didn't think it was really great like I kept wanting it to be. Only very rarely did it resemble the show I wanted it to be, which I guess could be considered my fault for wanting it to be something it didn't want to be.

My favorite verse of his is on "Devil in a New Dress," which is also at his most MC Ride-like in terms of the percussive and intentionally jarring shouted vocals.

Yeah I played on Playstation and while I didn't particularly love the Meat Circus I do still like a lot of the imagery there. The Butcher and the warped carny version of your dad throwing flaming clubs at you are both pretty damn scary. As far as the gameplay it was a little frustrating but hardly something that would

It's really impressive the way the game managed to insert some extremely dark themes into an ostensibly cartoonish world and still make it feel of a piece tonally. I remember The Cave tried to do this too and, while it was a pretty good game overall, it didn't resonate as much as Psychonauts did.

I'm glad to hear you feel that this game and Guacamelee do well by Mexican culture! As an outsider I wasn't sure if maybe they trafficked in stereotypes too much but nevertheless felt like they were mostly respectful celebrations of Mexican culture. But, of course, my opinion on that doesn't matter very much so it's

Honest Trailers can be pretty good as long as you accept that they're more of comedy videos than actual meaningful critiques of movies.

"You were singing mourning with a 'u'?"

I was really hoping that his assistant (AJ?) would be doing the reviews for at least the first episode or two of the new season. She's hilarious and it'd be a good way for the show to introduce the idea of 'guest reviewers' which I hope they sometimes do (Forrest is a hilarious character, but at some point the way he

It was more a mild dislike at the beginning that grew over time into a hatred once it became clear that any Kate-centric episode was gonna be boring and feel like time spent away from the characters we gave a shit about.

Anything that stops reviewers from using the terms "on-the-nose" or "arch" for two god damned minutes is alright by me.

Or like they just have a cold.

I think Caity Lotz is a terrific actor and I think her character was easily one of the best parts of the show in season 2. Maybe her character wasn't on the level of John Locke, just because Locke is on the short list for best TV characters ever, but I really do think Sara was fantastic.

Is it just me, or is 'throwing the arrows' to kill somebody one of the most unintentionally hilarious things this show has done?

No prison can hold Slade Wilson.

Imagine if they had killed John Locke completely unceremoniously in order to develop Kate's character on Lost. That's pretty much what it feels like.

I actually think that Angel was only a really good character in the first 2 seasons of his own show, especially the first (which is one of the reasons I tend to rate that season much higher than a lot of other fans do). There was plenty else to like in season 5 of Angel but I don't think his character was really one

It was one of the most incompetently-handled 'big dramatic moments' the show has done since early season 1.

It was a great moment of fan service because anybody who wasn't aware what they were doing would still think it was an awesome moment.

I liked that, in the 'meditation' scene, it took Roy about 5 seconds to fall into a deep state of hypnosis. I mean I guess he's sleep-deprived but…

I agree that the Hong Kong flashbacks have been a drag but I also thought that was typically true of the island flashbacks.
