So it's not an "A" from the AV Club for a Fall Out Boy album? I thought one of the member's moms worked for this site or something.

I recently listened to "Alphabetical", which was two albums before "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix", and there was nothing there at all to suggest they had an album like "Wolfgang" in them, which I think is outstanding (a controversial statement on this site for sure). If I were a record company guy, I would have sent those

I'm just glad you put Handsome Devil up there. That is the meanest guitar riff in a song about gay sex this side of Judas Priest.

Better Blu Ray company: Criterion or Masters of Cinema? Most of the MoC stuff is R2 I think, so you'd need to get an all-region player or mod your existing player, but it seems that whenever there is a match-up, I'm always looking more at the MoC version, whether it's extra goodies in the box (Metropolis), additional

I think the album kind of peters out by the end, but the first seven are just a murderer's row of good songs.  I like this one better than Out Of Time.

I like it. Not as cute as Sally Forth referencing that EP, but cute enough.

"Oh Bondage, Up Yours" would like to take you in the alley and whip you with a chain.

I've always found that I enjoy the Smiths' albums much more, but a Top 10 of Cure songs would crush a Top 10 of Smiths' songs.

My memorial to him this weekend to was watch one of the movies he has championed as among the best of all time (I think it was in his top 10, along with another weird one, "Gates of Heaven"): The "Up" Series.  They're all on Netflix Instant! Don't tell me about anything that happens to them; in fact, I'm probably

There was a price error at the WB online store a few months ago and I got the first two seasons of Treme on Blu Ray for a total of 15 dollars. I'm just waiting for S3 to come out and I'll start them.  It should be out by now!!

Great stunts, but the only thing that stood out to me was how my modern mind was trained into hearing sound effects.  The action seems very lacking when there's no sounds of swords swishing, or people hitting the ground in a clump after they get kicked off their horse.  I get used to it; I don't think Kurosawa ever

Set up a Kickstarter for a Deadwood movie, and I'll pony up.  Maybe we won't get to see the huge fire, although that would be awesome, but just tie up the threads.  And no, TV Club, whatever you say, that last episode was NOT an appropriate finale.

In his film universe, actresses in their 20s are still a convincing love interest.  In the real universe, he lowers the age even more.

I would have never thought of something so clever.  But I appreciate the work of someone else who did.

I hope Raiders Of The Lost Ark s not included in your not-list.  Raiders is untouchable, and Jaws is, at the very least, extremely entertaining.  E.T. is probably a perfect kid's movie.  I won't defend any other Spielberg movies, though.

I have never seen any of the Transformers movies.  Recently, I was playing poker at a high-school friend's house with a bunch of people I haven't seen in a while, and they put on the third one, on his new big OLED with all the motion-smoothing up.
o people were talking about how great the movie was and how much

Yes, the Bootleg Series version is superior.  I would submit that as his best Christian-era song.

I have avoided them because I always keep an eye out for the British English versions.  If I read them, I want to read them in the style she wrote, not dumbed down for yank idiots.  I suppose I should import them from Amazon UK, but whenever I go to the site, I get distracted at all the Masters of Cinema Blu Rays and

I'm gonna say about half of the acts are all tied.

And the young!  Only middle age knows what's best!
