It was by far the most popular one we've run this season. The only one that even came close was the one with the Beverly cliffhanger.
We prefer HanDlerWerff.
I'm guessing the people behind SHIELD now have a much better idea of what the audience is looking for in an ongoing TV show. You could sense that in the mediocre middle episodes, where at least the underlying plotting was getting a bit tighter.
You're interpolating a lot into two words based on preconceived biases that I can assure you weren't in the minds of either the writer or the three editors (of which I was not one). But because even the merest hint of the specter of the idea of white privilege is apparently enough to make you this concerned, I doubt…
I comment on lots of articles around here when I'm trying to avoid work. Also, I am dumb enough to think I can reason with people on the Internet.
If I ever get a TV show on the air, it will be called High Dudgeon. It will be about a Jack Russell Terrier named Dudgeon who likes to smoke weed out of a bong. *cut to surprised reactions from his roommate, played by Jack Black* *bong noises* *audience goes wild*
You're welcome for being an inaugural part of The A.V. Club's first HEALTHY LIVING initiative. Have an apple.
Look, I saw Pixar's Cars at an impressionable age. It's how I'm wired.
I don't think he's arguing against the piece. He's arguing against two words out of 1,500. If he were honestly trying to have a conversation, instead of beating a preconceived horse, then sure.
It's nice to see that one use of the phrase "white man" in an aside has gotten you in such high dudgeon.
The networks are close enough that it could be in last again next year. But probably not. Like I said, ABC's best hope, really, is to see if it can get past Fox for third.
Wanting your partner to be healthy and active is good, because it increases life expectancy, improves sex, etc. The problem comes when "healthy and active" becomes not good enough, when "rail thin" is the only standard for women and "super buff" is the only standard for men.
I dunno. Crawford is so important to the books that I can't imagine Fuller killing him when he didn't kill Freddie and (my interpretation) didn't kill Chilton.
I eat all of my apples this way. I have unleashed my inner stallion.
We've dropped in more than enough times to know the numbers for it are pretty small. We're covering the finale this week though.
They should do a character swap where, for one episode, Fishburne plays his Black-ish character on Hannibal and Jack Crawford on Black-ish.
I would LOVE to do that, but I am usually way too swamped to do so. The time to do it is usually a week or two before upfronts, and that's smack in the middle of season finale season.
Would you accept a show about a singing knight?
I have found that Scandal is the rare serialized show where you can kind of just hop back in whenever. "They're all on a spaceship now? Cool."
