And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

They have said they have a five-year plan. Well, Cuse has.
My understanding is they've collapsed that to six seasons and COULD do it in five. They want to make sure they can tell the complete story, and the ratings may not allow a long enough run.
I was so sad Gone Girl got dinged by the "THIS MOVIE IS MISOGYNIST" label. I mean, I think that's a valid reading of that film, but I hated the way it was used as a cudgel to attack anyone who liked it.
Yes.
You might be on to something here.
I assure you I did not leave my AV Club job because of spoilerphobes!
Well, it's secret, so… I guess?
The thing I miss most about AVC is the HUGE pool of freelancers. Vox forces me to pick and choose what our staff writes about, because there are four of us. At AVC, we could be as close to comprehensive as possible. This will inevitably change as Vox exits start-up mode, but it has been something I've missed.
Seasons three of The Americans and Hannibal are about it, really. I'm just so exhausted!
:>THROW PIE AT YETI
I hope to eventually but, again, not in straightforward recap form. The ones I did last summer bombed pretty horribly, but I don't know if that was the outlet or the shows I chose (probably both). But I'll feel weird if I don't write about Mad Men weekly, so I'll hopefully figure something out by then.
"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Hark the Herald, Angels Sing," and "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" for the three major "genres" of Christmas songs.
We are hoping to do a Christmas episode!
I talked a little bit about what ails The Knick below. It's a good show, but the storytelling is a little predictable and typical, especially if you've seen as many medical dramas as I have.
I like Bunheads!
I think probably the Sharon Van Etten album. I really have no idea on song. I kind of didn't have any music that blew me away this year, outside of Van Etten. (I gave it an A- when I reviewed it here, but would bump to a full A if I reviewed it now.)
I placed both on my top 30! I am enjoying both immensely.
Oh, Lord, I have yet to watch ANYthing. One thing about Vox is I have less time to watch screeners. Which is a disappointment.
Nah. But feel free to count any of my publically published lists!
