My ideal Faulkner adaptation would be That Evening Sun Go Down.  It's the perfect amount of story for a feature length with scenes that I think would translate to cinema very well, and it isn't as tied to the medium of book as As I Lay Dying or some of the other novels.

It's got too many notes.

It's also on Netflix Instant if you have that, but it is definitely worth buying, I'd say.

She was already in To Rome with Love, but maybe a starring role?

Thanks.  Somehow I remember checking imdb specifically to see if he was British but I must have looked at the wrong name.

The fake American accents in this are pretty bad, and gave me perspective on how the English must feel watching all the American movies and tv shows with bad British accents.  Doesn't really detract from the film though.

I don't know.  I just looked at TSPDT, and it's relegated to "worth a look," which means for them it's not even in Scorsese's top 20.  That seems crazy to me, I put it in my top 5.  I think that being a less ambitious comedy, people tend to underrate it.

I'd go with After Hours.

What would be the point of championing films like Avengers in the best of list?  The AV Club was the only place I heard really vocal championing of The Loneliest Planet or The Deep Blue Sea, and they turned out to be two of my favorite movie from last year.  I wouldn't have watched them without their being so highly

Great! Thanks for the reply.

I guess this explains why the parameter film competition seems to have been basically forgotten.  I hope that it's still one of the exciting projects in the works, because I was actually planning on entering this year.

I liked that more than I thought I would, but I still have reservations.  The powerpoint chapter was surprisingly powerful though.

For what?  For a little bit of television? There's more to life than a little television, you know. Don'tcha know that? And here ya are, and it's a beautiful day. Well. I just don't understand it.

HipsterDBag.

Jimmy was visibly startled. Amy went right back to enjoying her ridiculous bit. (I should make it clear that Jimmy and Amy are very good

Holy smokes, she looks just like Vic Mackey in that picture.

@avclub-0f0d67e214f9fef69b278e3d08114da9:disqus I remember an interview with Chris Hardwick somewhere where he said that AVC comments made Matt Mira cry.  Doug Benson also frequently argues with commenters in Podmass.  From Tasha Robinson, there's this http://www.avclub.com/artic…

I wish they would say something.  Two days in a row can't just be a fluke.
