I want this so bad.  I imagine it would be just like his roast appearance.  "Anne Hathaway has wavy hair.  It's waving goodbye!  On account of it being shaved."

My favorite part is that they censored it to 6-6.

I got all excited to preorder the Repo Man blu ray but apparently it doesn't apply to preorders.  Bummer.

As a rare Chinese vegetarian, I endorse this message.

If I remember correctly, Heller was one of the few writer not to vote for Bon Iver or Fleet Foxes in the best of 2011 list.  The AV Club writers aren't a homogenous body.

Affleck actually gave PTA props in his golden globe acceptance speech.  I have to respect him for that.

Speaking of, isn't she supposed to be starring in Bob Odenkirk's female version of Annie Hall? Whatever happened to that?

Ali was my first as well and I'll definitely check out more.  I'm not sure about Martha, but I know my library has Whitey.  Would that be a good next entry?

I liked it quite a bit.  I put it between The Limey and Out of Sight in my top three Soderberghs so far.

I just looked it up.  Criterion describes it as a "hallucinatory head trip about a schoolgirl who
travels with six classmates to her ailing aunt’s creaky country home
and comes face-to-face with evil spirits, a demonic house cat, a
bloodthirsty piano, and other ghoulish visions."  Sold!

Taking advantage of Criterion generously offering all their movies on Hulu free this weekend, I watched My Night at Maud's, Permanent Vacation, Schizopolis, Au Hasard Balthazar, Ali: Fear Eats the Soul, Man Bites Dog, and The Exterminating Angel.  My favorite was probably Ali.  Does anyone have any recommendations for

@avclub-e1e84d33778737c0a16ede94d51f3752:disqus The ending to Terriers is the end of a movie, and it's called The 25th Hour.

Hudsucker Proxy is great.  Trade Intolerable Cruelty for it.  Also, did you mean Zhang Yimou when you said Ju Dou?

Weird that you chose two of his best movies to disparage him.  Why not go with Benjamin Button or Panic Room?  As much as I love the Coen Brothers, Ladykillers and Intolerable Cruelty are much less enjoyable than Zodiac and The Social Network.

I think this must be an Onion article posted here accidentally.  There's just no way anyone used "dark and gritty" to unironically describe the world of ballet.

When Jesus said "I am the light of the world" he could as easily have said "I am king shit of fuck mountain, why would you fuck with me?"

Good to know.

I just finished The Shield on Hulu Plus.  As much as the last season has been built up for me around here, it still exceeded my expectations.  Pure ownage.

Wasn't Bob Odenkirk involved as a director?  I'm going to pretend that he was responsible for the only good sketch and nobody tell me any differently.
