I was so happy to see him again, and he did not disappoint.

Oh yeah, you're right about the start of last season. I think last night's badly played game really stood out because I watched all of this week's episodes in a row, and Monday's was still fresh in my mind. Even with the unexpected outcome, that was an outstanding game.
Oof! This game was a clusterfuck. The number of incorrect responses was mind-boggling. It was painful to watch. Compare that to Monday's game, which had two, maybe three, incorrect responses. At least Audrey won, so all is right with the Jeopardy world.
Cripes, Ghost Whisperer. I finally found a show worthy of hate-watching, although it might be more accurate to call it "staring-in-amazement-at-how-goddamn-stupid- it-is" watching. You're mostly right about CBS pulling the plug at the right time. What I've seen of season 5 really is a mess. I don't even know what the…
That sounds familiar, although I can't pinpoint the episode. (Man, I am really getting old. It's not often I can't immediately identify a L&O episode) I definitely remember "If Incompetent Lawyers were illegal, we wouldn't have to recycle the TIMES….", delivered in a way that only Steven Hill could deliver it.
Ain't that the damn truth.
Thank you. I was hoping someone would post the link to what is among the greatest comment threads in AVClub history.
Heh. I just recently watched an episode of L&O: CI and, as often happens, marveled at the defense attorney's astounding ability to remain silent as Bobby Goren intimidated the hell out of the defendant. Not that I'd want it any other way; CI was the D'Onofrio/Goren show from start to finish, and he was always a treat…
We should take any and all opportunities to call out movie marketing folks for their idiocy.
Oh, no need for that. I do get why you'd think it's a shithole. At the risk of sounding like a pretentious asshole, I have to say there are too many intellectually incurious people living there. It doesn't help that there's no major university (that's not connected to Penn State) there.
I lived in Harrisburg for most of my life. I wouldn't call it a shithole, but it's one of the weirdest goddamn places I've ever seen. My husband calls it a black hole, because it sucks so many people back in.
It's pretty great, isn't it? My husband designed the cover, so Phil gave us a copy about a month ago. He's also our neighbor, and you couldn't ask for a better one than Phil.
'Tis true, but, at least locally, he hasn't performed under "Phil Cook and His Feat" in a while.
It's not the apocalypse. It's just North Carolina in August.
You're right. As I said, I should feel bad for Trey. And I felt his frustration as he said, over and over, that he didn't kill George. I'm trying to change my mind, because in real life, I'd be horrified if anyone was wrongfully convicted of a crime. But, man, he's a miserable SOB, and I want him punished in any way…
I was on the verge of tears through the entire episode. Even the funny scenes made me weepy. The fritters scene was so wonderful because, for a moment, we got to see Daniel, Amantha and Janet behaving like a normal family.
I know I should feel bad for Trey, but he's such a bastard that I can't feel much sympathy for him. He did rape Hannah, and he'll never do time for that. A wrongful murder conviction is just karma tearing into his ass.
Gah! I have a pretty strong stomach, but I had the willies for the rest of the episode after he ate that roach. And I really wanted to hear the house-hunting couple's conversation afterwards.
Thank you. Like @m0nit0rman:disqus, I had no idea what was going on. This clears things up a little.
Oh, yeah, I get what you're saying, because it can be patronizing. I think it would bother me if he patronized her in other ways, but he doesn't. Overall, they seem like a pretty normal married couple.
