I liked it. My memory is so bad that I went into Gracepoint forgetting a lot of what happened. But as the story moved along, there wasn't much that seemed new to me.

Oh, I've asked for it. They've just never had it.

Gail is the best. She really does seem to be nice and funny. I love that she's honest and straightforward when she gives a critique, but is never mean about it. I love me some Pissed-Off Tom Colichio, but when it comes down to it, Gail's approach is more positive and less intimidating.

I don't want anything heavy. I've tried heavier beers and have found they can overpower the chili, sauce, pasta e fagioli, whatever. I just want a hint of the earthiness you get from beer.

You know what I've never seen at Whole Foods? Pork belly. It's one of the trendiest ingredients around, and I can't find it at Whole Foods in North Carolina, a state with more pigs than people.

I cook with beer a lot. It's the opposite of cooking with wine; cheap beer works better than good, more expensive beer. I don't understand why. You'd think it would be just like wine.

Also, glazed carrots are fantastic.

Yeah, I agree. It's just seemed like bad form to me. I like Mei, but I laughed pretty hard when she ended up with just three long neck clams. Sometimes Karma is instantaneous.

I think Gregory is pretty awesome. I wish he hadn't been so gun shy last week. He'd have probably kicked ass as Executive Chef in Restaurant Wars.

I 100% wish all the contestants were generally nice, competent, and cooked well. I'm not interested in bullshit drama, or raging assholes like Aaron. The good drama will come about on its own, because you can't put that many people together without some conflict happening naturally.

Finally, something I'm 100% sure I can agree with.

I want to work there.

Geez, what an ungracious asshole.

That sounds pretty awesome. I'd much rather have free food than a gift from a co-worker.

a raise and a bonus

Agreed. I could even live with eight. While I enjoyed last week's Mozzi-centered episode, I think it ate up valuable time. They shouldn't be straying from the main plot.

Never give up! We still need goals in our lives.

Oof! That's brutal. I think, though, that our fathers could have bonded in their hatred of Ronnie.

On the opposite end, when Reagan's alzheimer's was made public, my father said "Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!" Man, he hated Reagan.

"We not only sing, but we dance just as good as we walk… Ooooo, ooooooo Tighten-Up."
