All this talk about Rubicon, and no mention in the review or comments that Faisel's address was stated to be in "Truxton Circle"?

Yeah, and Dennis Hopper gives his 16th or 17th most unintentionally hilarious performance of all time (which is not inconsiderable).

"The point of life is to have fun, and I never had more fun than when I was fresh out of high school, so might as well keep going with that. I'm lucky I have a wide, strong support base of friends equally wedded to the concept of getting drunk every night and not having committed relationships that last more than

Agreed on both counts. Other good examples include Buffy's The Body and The Wire's Episode-After-Greggs-Got-Shot episode.

Good job, Rowan. The way I see it, three paragraphs of thoughtful comments means that you can say "first" three fucking times in your last sentence and get away with it. You pass.

A.V. Club Writing Style
I very much appreciate how I had to read this review twice before I realized that there aren't a lot of publications that use the words "juxtaposed" and "naked wang" in such close proximity without giving it a second thought.

As much as I want to mock Kevin Costner…
…it would be great if these pumps work. So, um, kudos, I guess.

I dunno, they release records every couple of years. That seems less than sadistic to me.

Sean O'Neal posted this article knowing that such a comment thread would be the result, and yet he posted it anyway. Sneaky bastard.

Die. Only one year late.

Cool Runnings
First Malik Yoba and this time the return of Doug E. Doug. It's too bad John Candy's dead.

And yet, ironically, a copy editor would have fixed your grammatical mistake.

Oh, I see what you did there.

I'm always disappointed…
…when I hear about an actor that I like signing up for a movie that is likely to suck a lot. It's not that I worry for their reputations; it's just that they could be working on something good. This is the second time MiB 3 has done this to me, first with Tommy Lee Jones, now with Jemaine

I'm not going to watch it, but it's reassuring that it's there.

Sigh.
So this show is going to continue to tie up Elizabeth Mitchell and Morena Baccarin from actually being in something that's worth watching. Well, fuck.

You guys…
… definitely should have included this or (preferably) Love and Theft on your top 50 albums of the decade list. Your list was great, but these albums not only amazing in their own right, but Dylan is really the only artist from the sixties to still be carving out new territory. Other artists from that era

Well, this is a pretty gross thread.

You like Billy Joel and hate The Office.

I hate to say it, but as good as this show is, I'd rather it end after two seasons than go on without Caplan. Her relationship with Adam Scott's character is too central to the show's goodness.
