Yeah, that's the pattern that Joss Whedon shows would take if they weren't all canceled. (Yes, I realize that half his shows weren't canceled right away, but whatever.)

It isn't not owning a TV that is douchey. It's constantly offering that information to people that is douchey. Or, in this case, coming onto a message board for a show that you have never seen and saying, "I'd never seen this show…I don't have TV at home."

I disagree. I think that Breaking Bad wisely realizes that they don't have to come up with storylines for all of their supporting characters. They allow characters like Marie and Walter Jr. to serve a function and to interact with the more central characters, but they don't lose focus on Walt and Jesse, whose stories

It makes you wonder though … how come the first ATM didn't have a bunch of footage of Jesse and the junkies and that adorable filthy kid.

Walt broke back into the house. I mean, maybe you disagree with Skylar kicking him out in the first place, but the point is—

To be fair, I think it was just bad timing and cockiness on Walt's part because Carmen clearly had a thing for him in seasons past. I still kind of hope that they hook up at some point so that Walt can selfishly destroy her life and then blame it on the government.

I liked the cold open. I agree that there aren't any drug dealers that push their product on newbies, but the scene was more about Jesse embracing his role as "bad guy," doing the only thing he was ever good at.

Fowler's Modern English Usage (Burchfield, R.W., ed. New York: Oxford University Press [3 ed.], 1996) says, "It is an idiom that should not be discountenanced, but used when it comes natural"; but Fowler also wrote that it is "almost confined to exhortations and promises," and these are more common in informal than in

Both "buses" and "busses" are correct. Also, from a grammatical standpoint, there is nothing wrong with saying "try and." People say it all the time. Just try and stop them.

Why is Skylar a bitch? (Seriously, I'm asking.)

Lewis is clearly the lynchpin of the entire show.

Well, yes, but the show has pretty much established that if she doesn't tell the cops about the meth, they can't do anything anyway. And the meth is way worse than an infidelity that takes place after the all the meth shit goes down, so in terms of custody, I don't think it matters.

Carmen
So… next episode?

That is probably the case when it comes to television.

…well, not really.

Ages
Can someone please take two or three hours and use the clues in this article to deduce the ages of all the A.V. Club writers? Because I am mildly curious to know. Thanks.

Video clip
In that Tarantula clip, was a scientist-type guy handling a BIG FUCKING CUBE OF PLUTONIUM??!

Sigh, can't unread that.
