Well, Lori did call Shane an asshole. Isn't that still a cuss word? I'm pretty behind the times on these things.

To be fair, the style of low-rise jeans over the last 10 years does tend to squarify the hiney of very thin women. At least there's no muffin top.

Yeah, as far as I know, we (parents) don't give "The Talk" really, it more like a long string of talks that starts when the kid starts asking about babies and just keeps going.

She's built like a french fry. Back with a crack.

He actually fails more at falling. It's a skill.

Wouldn't it be pronounced "Vee-ner"? I always get those ei-ie combos mixed up.

Geeze, manufactured-nostalgia buffs, this movie was weak even when it came out. There were only 3 reasons to see it back then:
*Dark theater make-out groping time with boyfriend
*The music (which was decent although Nic Cage's "punk" character was a 40-year-old studio exec's wishful-thinking dream version of

Thanks everyone, especially you, @avclub-d783823cc6284b929c2cd8df2167d212:disqus ! I'll check it out.

Isn't it too late for me to start watching Fringe? My interest has been piqued but I fear I've missed that boat.

I saw that coming from a mile away.

Yeah, I actually have never seen these shows or Jersey Shore, although I'll cop to watching "Survivor". I don't think that the fear of something worse taking their place means we should keep them on the air, but I also don't think any of this is the Harbinger of the End Times like some do.

I read it. I think it is misguided. Take these stupid shows off the air, we don't need a reality show tragedy in order to consider and discuss the meaning of tragedy.

@avclub-12a6b31534819f646bd9bf5e8a99756d:disqus , I have to say that I agree with you (and others, but you said it best for me). This show really did nothing for me except make me feel bad when watching it. I don't have to have likeable characters, but to put up with the sheer volume and amount of shrieking on this

Disagree, E. Buzz Miller, it is exactly the same for us breeders. Anecdotally speaking, of course.

Just chiming in (very late) that I agree with your assessment, @avclub-8ba08029928df26a69a360c83b3c0075:disqus . I've never really appreciated the unnecessary vocal gymnastics just for the sake of vocal gymnastics, and I remember that crap from back in the Star Search days. I prefer more emotional phrasing.

The ONLY reason I am going to claim to not be a Mary Sue is strictly due to not actually writing any fanfiction. It's a slim and technical distinction, yet I will cling to it.

Has it been explained on the show how it is that Nick is almost always recognized by Vessen EXCEPT when the creature in question is a perp or suspect? How is it that almost every creature who isn't in immediate trouble can see that he's a Grimm, but never the suspect-of-the-week?

You have a reproduction of the Venus of Willendorf in your sock drawer, don't you?

While I didn't personally have that completely-hardcore horse fascination phase (had a horse phase, just not as strong as most I've seen), most of my friends definitely did - and since I could draw, I became quite the expert at depicting horses, unicorns, and pegasi (unicorns in particular!) as per constant requests.

Thank god you edited that to specify Dren. I thought you meant the amorphous blobs they had mating in the first part of the movie, and that would have just been weird.
