I rewatched Ali: Fear Eats The Soul, which is one of the biggest mismatches between title and content in cinema. The name implies a bleak, formalist, seven-hour b&w film set in a forgotten eastern European country. But the film itself is actually a lovely riff on Douglas Sirk's work, specifically All That Heaven Allows
