Okay, now I'm in.

Holy shit, the comments on that article.

This reads like an OS-themed remake of Jim Carroll's "People Who Died"

Now fix that thing where my mom watches a single Christian movie while visiting and suddenly my recommendations are exclusively faith-based films for the next eight months.

This is a big change: now critically acclaimed movies that are the least bit challenging will have a thumbs down instead of a one-star rating.

Don Winslow is the author of the novel Savages, which he then turned into a screenplay for the Oliver Stone movie.

Before I got a TV in my bedroom, I actually watched a lot of movies on my phone, with the audio pushed to my Sonos setup. I'm incredibly near-sighted with my contacts out, so with the retina screen three inches from my face it was like an IMAX.

There's an easier way if you're driving at night…just put your iPhone on the dashboard and watch the reflection on the windshield. Life hack!

Vegan jokes are the airplane food jokes of our era.

"Mama’s Family […] was heading for the graveyard (Saturday)"

I imagine him reading that statement in a bored monotone straight out of a book clearly labeled CONTRACT RENEGOTIATION FOR DUMMIES…

I really love how, for all the mindfuck visuals and narrative curveballs, the overall story itself has so far been pretty straightforward and relatively simple. It's further proof of my personal Unified Theory Of Successful Avant-Garde Storytelling:

I'm not a binge-watcher usually, but the other week it occurred to me that this would be an excellent show to binge-watch. A lot might happen in an episode, but (compared to other shows) the plot itself is actually pretty simple and doesn't move forward too much each week. I think it would be very satisfying to watch

I wonder what it means that in the fantasy world Amy was cast as a cruel, vindictive nurse. In previous weeks, folks have been speculating that she has some powers of her own…is it possible that she's subconsciously aware on some level of what's going on and has adopted this persona to try to shatter David's illusory

Last week alannaofdoom posted a handwave theory that was good enough for me to overlook the effect's shortcomings:

Maybe the Devil wipes David's memory because he's embarrassed by how Basic Cable his CGI is.

(Jinx!)

Tonight we had a callback to the first episode, when we saw David's door open but no feet as Syd entered the room. This time it was Syd's door opening and David entering. Any idea what either version could mean?

Ah! I watch the show at my brother's place, and let's just say that with three kids running around, his home doesn't have the respect for the sanctity of the television-watching experience most AV Clubbers would consider mandatory…

Anyone know what the song was over the closing credits? I couldn't get Shazam open in time.
