Are these worth reading? If you had to recommend just one, which one would it be?

Thanks! I assumed I missed a Newswire or something…

"In this, the year Nirvana became a girl band…" What does this mean? (No snark, I just genuinely don't understand it.)

Too bad you guys already used the "________faces mortality with ferocity, humility, and grace" headline earlier this week…

That Kevin Wada cover is REALLY gorgeous, holy cow! Here's the full image: LINK.

The Eagles are undoubtedly the worst band ever. (And, like a hydra, once you struck the band down, three shitty solo artists arose in its place.)

Agreed on both counts.

I was imagining she was older, possibly early to mid-50s. Though that's probably colored by the fact that I'm 40 now myself…

Wait, so during the original 1969-1974 run of the Brady Bunch, Alice was 43-48? Huh.

Who would have guessed two months ago that I'd start a comment with "My favorite Ward moment"? But anyway, my favorite Ward moment was during his conversation with Raina. She asked him something like "But were you born a monster, or did Garrett make you a monster?" And Ward's reaction is he just shrugs. Ha!

"The saddest day of your life isn't when you decide to sell out. The saddest day of your life is when you decide to sell out and nobody wants to buy."

That list is really interesting, thanks for posting it. (2001 is on it!?)

Although interestingly, about six months ago Jay-Z's "Girls, Girls, Girls" was an equal distance from Motley Crue's song and the present day.

Just did the math because I like being depressed: the release of "Girls, Girls, Girls" is closer in time to the release of "A Hard Day's Night" than we are to the release of "Girls, Girls, Girls."

"Only's primary qualification was that he had recently received a bass guitar for Christmas.”

What's the deal with the airships on the title screen? Nothing else in the trailer makes me think this takes place in a world where dirigibles roam the skies. Is this just a graphic designer's indulgence or is the trailer leaving out some pretty big pieces of what the setting is going to be?

I don't know if she has a case or not, but it's worth mentioning that this isn't some crank with a self-published Kindle Single crying plagiarism. Gerritsen is a pretty big name in the "books you can buy at the grocery store" genre. She's also the creator of the Rizzoli & Isles books that the show is based on.

It looks like a poster for Terrence Malick's Jem movie, with no action, little dialogue, and lots of ponderous voiceovers!

"…the third film will draw from the fifth and final Ann Brashares novel, Sisterhood Everlasting"
