Poor, poor Stepdad Ron.

I did that with Season of the Witch and Fast 5. It definitely made the Fast 5 episode better, since I loved that movie as much as they did. I'm not sure it made a difference with Season of the Witch though, that was a rough episode, even by HDTGM standards.

My favorite parts of MBMBAM are usually the Yahoo questions, so I'll probably give Answer Me This a try, though I agree with others that the gangly awkwardness is part of the Mcelroy's charm.

"They also have a goddamn shitload of history left to get through next season, so I assume that basically every single episode will have some kind of giant change of status quo or main character dying, which should be fun."
Yeah, if this show was more concerned about historical accuracy I would be calling bullshit

I liked the Superman vs. Shazam one quite a bit. Its a collection of 15 or 20 minute shorts that are pretty fun. The Green Arrow/Black Canary one was especially cool. I would definitely watch a Green Arrow feature or tv series if it was done in a similar style.

POSSIBLE SPOILER FROM THE COMICS, I GUESS?

I have to agree. A Flash Family episode, written by Peter David? Even with the incredibly stupid "take your baby to a ninja fight" stuff, I can't hate on this episode. It was fun, it was smart, it was exciting, and the fact that they put Barry Allen, one of the few major A-list super heroes who's been killed, and

There's also Mark Waid's retcon from the awesome "The Return of Barry Allen" story line, where Wally pretty much just had a mental block due to not wanting to overshadow Barry.

Someone asked the same question in last week's Podmass, and there were some pretty good suggestions. Wolverine, Legion, Mirrors, those are pretty good episodes to start with, I think. I think the most recent episode is a pretty good starting point too, actually.

That Superman episode was the point where HDTGM really started to lose its shine for me. I had just happened to listen to the WHM Superman episodes a few days beforehand, and you're right Zapp, there's no question about which show did a better job with that movie.
