I don't see anything odd about it at all. Maxfun produces a shit ton of free content, and once or twice a year they say "if you think this is worth something please give us some money, as much or as little as you happen to think its worth, and if you don't think its worth any money that's ok too." They're pretty

Electroshock Blues
Souljacker
Shootenanny
Blinking Lights
Daisies of the Galaxy
Beautiful Freak
End Times (I never got around to hearing the rest of the trilogy, End Times really soured me on wanting to hear more of it)

The haters seem pretty reasonable. "A good to great band that recycles their own material a little too often" is a pretty fair criticism.

I like Souljacker a lot. Partly because it was the first album I heard by him, partly because it sounds a little different from all the rest of his stuff (I'm guessing that's down to John Parish being in the studio with E though?). I tend to like the songs where he tells stories or does character sketches best, and

I just started listening to Comedy Bang Bang over the summer, and I really enjoy it. I figured since there's a couple hundred episodes of backlog, I'd check them out whenever I had the chance, and proceeded to download  the first few episodes. I guess the show was pretty different back in the beginning, with no

This was a pretty funny episode, I especially enjoyed the 2np Opinions segment. If they ever wanted to do the occasional mini-episode that was just their reactions to shitty Amazon reviews I'd be pretty happy.

I second the Besties. I'd also suggest Throwing Shade, a podcast that manages to be both informative and incredibly filthy.

@avclub-c2772fe942fe1bdcf0fec5d508dd6e23:disqus The Honey Boo Boo episode was actually the one that made me throw in the towel. The show already felt a little aimless to me once they hit the summer and had to start doing themed episodes because there wasn't enough original programming for the them to talk about. That

I got a little bored by In Case of Emergency and Satellite Dish after a while, and eventually stopped listening. But I never get tired of The Besties. Those guys are a lot of fun to listen too.

Yeah that's me as well. I mostly listen to them at work so I don't have to deal with my boring coworkers. Its probably not the most healthy attitude to have about other people, but at least this way I'm actually entertained.

Seriously one of the all time great podcasts. It was really slow going for me at first, then I hit the episodes about the wars with Carthage, and it was just nonstop awesome until the very end.

Oh man, the right winger stuff kills me. Part of me always wants him to keep going with it, even though I realize its probably a joke that only works in really tiny doses.
