I read the first four Herbert Dune books, and loved them. I just never got around to reading his others for whatever reason. The Brian Herbert/Kevin Anderson books are horrible though. I don't think I made it even fifty pages through the one I tried to read. Those guys really shouldn't be allowed to write books at

Fair enough, and I wasn't trying to come across as someone who was about to let the fanboy accusations fly. I was just pointing out that I could remember quite a few games on that system that were fun to play and very well received at the time.

I haven't read an Orson Scott Card novel since the one about America being conquered because liberals are pussies or something. Also there was that whole thing he had with hating gay people.I haven't read enough of his books to know if he had one great idea with Ender's Game, and everything else has been trash, or if

Seriously? I mean just off the top of my head there's a few Tekkens and Resident Evils, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, and of course the game this article is about. Im sure if I really thought about it I could come up with even more. I don't know how well any of those games have aged, but at the time they all seemed

I think Black was my least favorite one in the series, precisely because of how they had to beat you over the head with how bleak it all was. Not that the others weren't dark, Black just gave off of a vibe of the developers trying way too hard to be gloomy.

Yeah, I think that sounds about right.

Very sad news. RIP.

I can't believe no one here has mentioned the funniest moment of the episode:
"Spartacus, someone is coming!"
*Immediately run through by sword*

Episode three was when it came together for me. The fight where Spartacus and Crixus had to fight that gigantic ogre of a guy. That was when the show managed to strike the balance between almost ridiculous/awesome amounts of excessive sex and violence, and all that amazing plotting.

Neither recasting bothered me that much. Spartacus being recast was unavoidable, and I didn't even realize Naevia had been recast until my girlfriend said something. Maybe it will seem more jarring in the next episode when she actually gets to talk and stuff.

I had the same thing happen to me. The last scene really didn't have much suspense for me, since I figured at worse he'd be captured. Still, even without the suspense that whole sequence was just amazing.

The only right answer to that question is biastioc.

Every time someone walks out of the front door and there is clearly no one standing around keeping watch I roll my eyes. I don't expect them to have built a moat and watchtowers or whatever, but taking the most basic of precautions should be automatic given what these people have lived through.

He lasted almost as long as Terriers did.

Are you kidding me? Comic sales are down to ridiculous levels, stores are closing down left and right all over the country, retailers are freaking out about digital sales driving them out of business altogether, the two biggest publishers are more focused on licensing their IP's than they are on creating quality

Now that I've listened to it I have to say I should have taken your advice @avclub-4c56ff4ce4aaf9573aa5dff913df997a:disqus that wasn't the entertaining train wreck I was expecting. It was uncomfortable, to say the very least.

Yeah, the No Retreat No Surrender, and Ford Fairlane episodes were both great. The Jack Frost episode (the Michael Keaton one, not the slasher one) was pretty funny too. And of course both of the Ewok episodes, especially whichever one had Wilford Brimley in it. They get a lot of mileage out of him and his pet space

Man, I don't know what to tell you. I feel like they've been on a roll lately, and this week's episode was one of their best. If it didn't sway you, maybe its just not for you.

I just didn't see that above quote as some kind of "nerd" on nerd crime. I mean Hardwick's making a math based joke. He's clearly on the side of the guy getting his ass kicked.

Is that even making fun of someone? He's pointing out that the guy's last name is the same word for a math term. I feel like if you were going to make fun of someone for being the kind of guy who gets chased and beat up every day you'd probably focus in on something else.
