The problem with that is they were clearly trying to make some satiric statement in this episode.  Absurdity is funny when it points to some real life issue in a clever way, like the previous week's episode about the TSA and the proper way to sit on toilets.  This week's episode, as far as I can tell, doesn't do

I did and I must be missing something.  They were selling costume jewelry for 40 bucks.  If that's all those channels are doing, it makes no sense to have some parody that they are ripping off the elderly by selling overpriced rubies and gold.  Yeah it looked like cheap crap.  And it was effectively priced as cheap

I realize that.  My point is the parody misses the mark entirely because it doesn't effectively ridicule any real issue.  Parody divorced from reality is just absurdity.

This episode just made no sense.  It's satirizing a fake issue, or set of fake issues, which just makes it a bizarre and shitty episode.  For example, I flipped over to the Home Shopping Network and, lo and behold, they had a jewelry sale going on. But they were selling jewelry for 40-50 bucks.  It's not exactly a

He's pretty cool but I'd hardly want to say an actor, even a very good one, is the most interesting man alive.  When you live in LA, you learn actors/actresses are typically in person the most annoying people alive.  And speaking of LA, the AV Club's own Todd Vanderwerff is far more interesting.  Read his recent

Why did you hold brushes between your butt cheeks?  Is that a common practice for those painting figurines or just some weird fetish?

The crack shooting was ridiculous.  Bear in mind all of them were scoring head shot after head shot at medium range FROM MOVING VEHICLES over rough terrain.

It's the big chief.

Don't you criticize my drunk typing!  Yeah, THE Macallan is certainly the equal of Lagavulin.  That makes Community and Parks and Recreation about equal.  Both are still better than 30 Rock.

It's actually a pic of one of the staff at the AV Club and this, along with my user name, was my petty way of protesting last year the need to register in order to post.  I am now too lazy to change the pic.

I had to look that up.

Jesus fucking Christ.  1200 discussions already?  Don't you people drink on Thursday nights?

Only those who live in their mom's basement thinks people actually drink green-tinted beer on St. Patty's Day.

Not even close.  Think Chelsea Lately.

Says the PBR drinker.

You can judge TV shows by the scotch they drink.  30 Rock- Johnnie Walker, nothing great but drinkable.  Community is a little better- they drink Macallan (as we see tonight).  But Parks and Rec is the best with Laguvulin. That's the real stuff.

This show would be so much better if Carl gets eaten in the next episode.  Preferably when he goes off in the woods to cry because he murdered Dale.  And hopefully it will be drawn out, like 5 minutes or so of him screaming as he's consumed by a pack of zombies.

Yeah, that was embarrassing.  I've seen small children throw better than that.  Sometimes one forgets all these people in real life were the theater kids who didn't play sports.

5-D is porn is already in beta testing there.

Criticizing The Prophet because hippies appropriated it is like criticizing Nietzshe because Nazis appropriated his work.
