Disney References
As mentioned, there are a lot of references, but nobody has brought up the Disney references.
When the triplets are leading Grandmama and Champion up to their apartment, they pass a toilet with a deuce in it. The deuce is shaped liked Mickey Mouse's head.
When the triplets are going through the

I agree. It's all in my iTunes library.

The scene where the triplets were preforming in the nightclub. It's made me want to try making music with a vacuum cleaner ever since.

Yeah, Bruno really reminds me of my dog, who's also a yellow lab.

You should. I saw it twice on 2 consective weekends when it came out, and it was well worth it.

There's Willy Wonka and the Great Glass Elevator. I'm not sure how many have read that one.

I call TLC "The Freakshow Channel".
I was working out in the gym recently with a bunch of guys lifting weights, and what are they watching? Not ESPN, but TLC. Specifically, a show about a boy who was raised as a girl. I kinda wondered if they were too lazy to change the channel.

I was actully thinking about this the other day
My parents aren't really too pop-culture literate, but occasionally they surprise me.

Yeah, Grease, I remember seeing that in 5th grade, but I'll still watch if it I'm home and it happens to be on. But yeah, you really pick up it's dirtiness later.
Fun fact, I once got a boyfriend to watch it with me by saying, "You know Stockard Channing from 'The West Wing' is in this, right?"
I went to a friend's bat

I read Asterix in my high-school French classes. Good idea on introducing it to kids, I hadn't thought of that.

I want one of my future kid's bedroom walls to be painted with the scene from Where the Wild Things Are where the bed and surroundings start turning into the jungle.

I haven't read any of Dahl's tuff for adults, but I read James and the Giant Peach, The BFG, Matilda, The Witches and the two Willy Wonkas when I was in elementary school.
I read Boy on my own for fun in middle school, and I still think that the "goat's tobacco" chapter is one of the funniest things I've ever read.

For the beginning years of my life, my family went to church every Sunday. Then we left for awhile, and didn't come back (to a different church) until my sister and I went through confirmation in late middle school.
Although I'd identify as agnostic now, I am glad to have that background so that I can understand

Awesome
I have to admit, I wasn't sure about this, but I'll be picking it up the next time I'm out. The review clinched it for me.

(Mrs. Bennett tells Mr. Bennett exactly who Bingley partnered with at each dance at the recent ball.)
Mr. Bennett: "If he had any compassion for me, he would have sprained his ankle in the first dance and left me in peace."
The line is something to that effect. I don't have my copy on me.

Capote vs. Infamous

Yeah, that was back when she was on Lizzie McGuire. I think she designs clothes and sells perfume and "expands her brand" now.
Oh wait, I think I hear something about how she'll be starring in a pilot about lawyers in the fall…?

I also don't have the heart simply because some of my friends like the show to the point that one of them got the microphone that plays the show's songs.
