Did you see his movie from beofre the Ernest stuff? It was called Dr. Otto something and was pretty bizarre, if memory serves…

Speaking of overtly Christian, I was way into King's X when I was in 8th and 9th grade- I thought their sound was just SO awesome. I had no idea they were a Christian band, I listened to their 2nd album a while ago and the overt Christian imagery kinda ruined it for me.

I did not read the book before I saw the movie, but I loved the hell outta NIMH- scary and gripping for kids' stuff, epic storyline, it had everything I was looking for. The oversaturation worked perfectly with that amulet- I still remember that glow perfectly.
I was a big fan of The Black Cauldron books when I was in

Daria annoyed the shit out of me- it came out when I was in high school; so I guess I was part of the target audience, but "too cool for school misanthropy" seems to sum it up purty good.
…maybe it was because I was a too cool for school misanthrope.

Jazz Messengers were pretty dope.

I always liked the clip of BR on the muppet show schooling Animal.

And now, another long raga by Ravi Shankar…

CLAMS!
CLAMS!!

Arsenio was HUGE for a while- remember that arm swingy thing? Granted, I was in middle school at the time and my classmates were all over everything that was popular.
Not me though- I was into cool stuff like cartoons and fantasy novels…

Second on the Tosh hate.
Smarmy bastard.

A building fell on his parents- now he's out for revenge!

Parf Daddy
I'LL FUCKIN' BITE CHU!!
CAN'T STAND NOBODY LIKE YOU!!!
YOU CAN'T RUN! YOU CAN'T HIDE!
CLOSE YOUR EYES!
COME WIT' ME!!
COME WIT' ME!!

Wait-
AN OLD ARMY BUDDY IS VISITING MANNIX?!

For real, guys
What a fascinating trainwreck.

Good stuff
I always look forward to this feature…

I just rented Venture Bros. season four vol.1 last night and I loved it. I think the new season is quite strong & there were some truly great moments…

@sexmagicmilkblood- You can get killer equipment at Goodwill if you know what you're looking for- people have been getting rid of their component systems for years. I've picked up top of the line recievers for next to nothing- plug an ipod into the aux input & get some speakers and baby, you got a stew goin'! Speakers

I remember seeing an interview with Pop with Bowie hovering right next to him, laughing at his jokes, and just throwing out a svengali vibe. Never cared much for Bowie, but that really highlighted his desperate, appropriative nature.
Other fave Bowie interview- when he was 15 or so, being interviewed on brit tv news

@three hole punch- if you like that california funk rock, you should check out some Fishbone and especially Mr.Bungle's self titled debut. Apparently Kiedis thought Mike Patton, the singer of Mr. Bungle (and of Faith No More, another great band) was ripping off his style (untrue in my opinion…)
Anyway, all great stuff.

Angel Dust is pretty much perfect from start to finish. The Directors Cut is also perfect. The only Patton album I don't really dig is some of the Tomahawk output- when I first put it on, I love it, but it just doesn't grab me and make me want to listen to it all the time like some of the other stuff…
