Its like half and half formulaic and serialized. There are week to week cases in each episode and then an over arching story. The serialized elements are more common in the election/campaign story lines than in the law firm story lines.

    Good not Great
The Good Wife is probably the best show on broadcast television but how great of an honor is that. The Good Wife is stuck in the middle of being a procedural and fully serialized. The show probably wouldn't survive if it was fully serialized but it uses way too much of case of the week elements to be

The idea that he is even successful is debatable. Trump remained a billionaire after inheriting a shit ton of money. I don't think anyone would dispute the fact that Trump would be no where near "successful" if he had Barack Obama's upbringing.

I don't how Community airing at 8:00 is any worse than Outsourced airing at 10:30 when no one watches TV (let alone sitcoms). And Outsourced usually adds like over 50% to their audience with DVR accounted. I think Outsourced was as high as a 2.4 18-49 ratingwith DVR added in. Even if Community was tied with Outsourced

I want to preface this by saying Community is a far better show than Outsourced but here are the ratings for the three most recent weeks they were both airing new episodes on. And go back and compare Outsourced post Office ratings vs Parks & Rec post Office ratings. Outsourced did better numbers

    Who cares about ratings
Say what you want about Outsourced but it had a better case for renewal than Chuck, Harry's Law, or Community. I thought the show was fun. RIP Outsourced

Give the man his emmy already

@Eponymous Saying Kings could have been a big hit is just dreaming. NBC did screw a wonderful show over by moving it to Saturdays and then kicking it to the summer but the show wouldn't have become a hit regardless. Maybe it could have been a prestige show and a solid contributor.

    CONT.
I think the charge that the show is offensive or racist is just not true. It makes fun of Indian culture just like other shows poke fun at topics. And the character of Todd has to a douchebag of sorts for the comedy to work. Whats so funny if he is a nice well adjusted guy from Connecticut.

I think the funny thing about the hyper ventilating about the perceived offensiveness is that Outsourced is unbelievably popular in the Indian-American community. I'm not exaggerating when I say this but every single one of my indian friends watch Outsourced. I'm sure part of the reason why I watch Outsourced is out

    Not defending it but…….
Outsourced is a lot better than what its detractors give it credit for. I HATED Outsourced when they announced it was taking over Parks & Rec's spot on the fall schedule. I watched the pilot and felt my hate was warranted. The show was hacky, kind of racist, and stupid.

I can see NBC's logic in doing it. Parks & Rec is now a semi-hit and fucking over the show unites fans. People only realize how much they miss something once its gone. That said I really hope they don't hold it off till midseason.

When Messianic Myths aired I was taking a Theology course and it was crazy how much of the boring bullshit I was listening to and reading about was being referred to on Community. Who ever expects to see their Theology lectures show up on Community?

Season 2 may be "better" TV but for me Season 1 was more a lot more fun. The episodes this year that examined depression and loneliness were definitely more complex and thought provoking but its not what I want out of Community. Know your role

    3 Best Episodes So Far
    3. Messianic Myths and Ancient Peoples (This is like a tie with five other episodes)
    2. Modern Warfare
    1. Contemporary American Poultry

@ Jiminy Yeah Slumdog Millionaire is probably suspect for that list. The movie was in theaters for like five months though and it felt like everyone I interacted with watched it and talked about it. The other movies are things that maybe were more popular with the entire population where as Slumdog had a more niche

I'm getting a Pineapple Express vibe from 30 Minutes or Less. At worst it should be funny but flawed like The Green Hornet. Pineapple Express has to be in like my top 5 movie watching experiences - I couldn't imagine not watching it in a theater.

The last one was at the point where you HAD to watch it. There are certain movies that regardless of your taste there is so much pressure to watch and HP Part 1 was that. Thats only going to be elevated with this being the final chapter.
