I'm debating seeing it too. Not a huge Emmerich fan, but I absolutely love Zodiac… have seen the movie dozens of times, and the screenwriter of Zodiac is the sole screenwriter and producer on White House Down. Don't mind Tatum either, and there are some good character actors in the film too (Jason Clarke, Richard

John Cho, Kent Wantabe, and Ken Jeong. How many are there supposed to be? Those three together, have a lot of range, and should be able to handle most roles. There is an asian dude in the Fast/Furious franchises too.

Matt Fox played the character that rescued Pitt's family from the rooftop in the first act. He shot a couple zombies that were chasing Pitt, and he was seen like in the background in a few of the scenes on the ship. Apparently his role was larger but it was cut down with the new ending.

I'm not a person who believes at all in a movie owing anything to source material. The filmaker's responsibility is to make a good movie, and if that means being savage to the source material… so be it. They are separate entities.

If they could have somehow mixed Contagion's dramatic scenes and style with the action scenes in World War Z, this could have been epic. As it was, a very good movie. Not great, but not at all shit. Some awesome sequences (the bikes, the Israel wall, and even the third act suspense). I'm actually hoping WWZ ends up

My man, James Badge Dale was very impressive in his brief scene. I thought the Indian scientist with the monologue (who subsequently shot himself in the face) was a stand out. The acting wasn't extraordinary, but it wasn't poor by any means.

Want to be depressed…. look at the international box office numbers on Hansel/Gretel

One million copies… and lets be generous and say that means 2 million readers (through sharing, libraries, etc). If 75% of that audience shows up… you have 1.5 million tickets… which is about $12,000,000. Even if each fan, brings a friend/date/etc… still at $24,000,000 (at $8 ticket).

If the movie fails… the reason it fails won't be because fanatics of the book didn't show up… it'll be because the film was marketed poorly or because of legit flaws in the movie. That is probably the true reason it'll fail (if it does), and that is how the failure will be framed.

I know its a very mockable statement, but if a huge, huge TV Network deems the content to be worthy of a multi-million dollar show, odds are it'll be worth my time to read it and enjoyable. I'm not going to pretend to be sophisticated or pretentious… what I want is an enjoyable read, and a TV Show or movie

After months and months of delay, finished Breaking Bad Season 5. Epic, and in my opinion Bryan Cranston's best season ever in terms of acting. Cannot wait for season 6, and in a way kind of sad that it is ending. I was stuck on S05E01 and just couldn't get past it for whatever reason, but it was well worth it. Very,

Yeah, I wouldn't pay money to see it or anything, but I thought it was a nice little film. There is some little fat fuck who looks like Jonah Hill 2.0, and I remember there was one joke at him that was hilarious (but not so funny that I can remember it), and there was a funny fight sequence. I saw it on TBS, and it

The movie absolutely does not peak early….  I barely laughed through the first act of the film. The good laughs start once McBride enters the movie and it keeps on going until the end. If you've liked anything Rogen has done before, you'll enjoy This is the End.

Rest in peace Ebert. Why God, why must the good die so young?

Have you seen the little seen Owen Wilson vehicle… Drillbit Taylor? Its a movie that you can tell is written by them, and its a pretty decent movie. Sticks to their structure closely, and there are some fun moments with a younger cast. Huge flop, but not that bad. I would agree with you but I've seen "The Watch" which

And Christoph Waltz too. He is just hilarious and so great in the movie. Franco's cameo as well. I own that movie on blu-ray and I genuinely love it. I thought the movie was a ton of fun, and I can understand why it would test well. If you go in with expectations that are reasonable… of expecting a Seth Rogen comedy,

The Green Hornet is an awesome movie. I'll defend that film forever… its a great action comedy, and its a good movie. There is a place for a fun irreverent take on the super-hero genre.

The special effects are surprisingly competent. I expected it be cheap and fake looking, but they are very effective and it looks well done.

If this was a movie it would be easy…. Amy Adams or Emma Stone. With TV… I don't know. Its a tough role, and like you said the person would have to be perfect. Don't know much about Joshua Jackson. Just going off his pic, he looks kind of like the description, and is probably gettable.

Bradley Cooper has played teachers and writers so many times (Limitless, The Hangover, The Words, Silver Lining Playbook)! It might not work for that reason…. I think Cooper is really, really charming and likable and that is what you need for the role. Rockwell can be charismatic, but I've never seen him as like a
