"I go to thrift stores a lot and it’s sad to see them get torn up by everybody because he tried to popularize thrift stores"
Oh, so sorry that your favorite thrift shops (which are often run by charities to raise money to help disadvantaged people) are being overrun by people who have embraced the notion that you don't

This used to be the show I most looked forward to watching, but now I feel like I stick with it out of loyalty more than actual enjoyment. This season has been somewhat of a letdown in that it has rarely produced any scenes that get me laughing hysterically - I remember laughing so hard at 'Practice Date' (which I

While this episode was definitely not among SNL's best, I think a 'D' is a little harsh. I didn't particularly like it, but I didn't hate it either (the last time Robert DeNiro hosted, i was actually cringing - I love DeNiro but hosting SNL is not among his many talents). I think it deserves a 'C+' - I love

I meant Green, not Bates - when she said, "whatever we may think, we're talking about someone's life, do we have a right to do nothing?" Mary was talking about Green

I'm not saying they'd have a legal leg to stand on, just that Samson most certainly deserved to have the letter taken from him

really, we're still doing this?

you'd think Shrimpy might want to make an appearance, from the comments made about him it seems like he's pretty well-liked around there

"no pinot? all you have is merlot? well I am NOT drinking any fucking merlot!"

totally agree. Scheming Thomas is getting so old (literally and figuratively). They need to do something to have him evolve or write him off tge show. Honestly, at this point I'm surprised Fellowes hasn't given Thomas a pencil-thin black moustache to twirl sinisterly when he speaks.

right, but even if they're in India would they not make the trip to see their daughter's presentation at BUCKINGHAM freaking PALACE??

1. where the hell are Rose's parents during this important event?
2. we're honestly supposed to believe that Mary cares about the sanctity of life when it comes to a lowly, rape-y valet? please.
3. what on earth is Edith's plan? how will she explain her interest in a tenant-farmer's adopted daughter?
4. I also prefer

I think we'll later find out that he went to a fertility doctor - he and Anna have been married forever and no babies yet, so maybe he just went to find out what's up with his junk. Time the appointment around the same time he had Green offed and there's his ironclad alibi.

I would watch that show RELIGIOUSLY

she did have that cancer scare last season, though I think it only lasted for one or two episodes
edit: I see Leonard Bast already mentioned the cancer scare and I'd completely forgotten about the childhood sweetheart, dang you have a good memory.

upvoted for username

for me, it was Weeds and Dexter. I did eventually finish all of Weeds, though I was only watching it in a half-ass way (having it on in the background while I did something else). I couldn't bring myself to keep watching Dexter, it became like watching a beloved relative suffer from a disease that gradually made

I'm usually kind of indifferent to Cora but I loved her in this episode. Because she's American she's so much less constrained - I loved her "good thing he's a SNOB" line regarding the uppity restaurant guy.

"adored" is a strong word

damn near everything Kate McKinnon does is pure gold - I was really hoping for a reprise of her Justin Beiber this week
