That's my main problem with bloggy opinion things like this: Writer's who name drop Craig Finn as if we are already intimate with the Hold Steady M.O. yet have never even *heard* of Angel. And then, of course, comes to the conclusion that the entire topic is a waste of time. Yes, I am old and tired, why do you ask?

1. Depending on how generous AC/DC was it's likely Anvil made more money on that tour than they did over the previous 30 years combined. Lemmy once mentioned in his book that he made more off royalties for writing the lyrics to a couple of Ozzy songs than Motorhead earned over the course of their entire career.

When all is said and done, exciting music will typically be exciting live. Whereas not-so-exciting music will most likely provide a rather dull experience. Not all music that is created is best experienced in a room with all the people staring in the same direction at the guys/gals creating it. So, I'll go see the

I'll admit I didn't read the whole thing but those arguments against the show were not what I was expecting. I think the most off-putting thing (it *almost* turned me off early on but I stuck around) is the cutesy tone and pace. A lot of people can't deal with it and that reaction happens long before and Easter are

"but none of us in our 30s-40s would call BTTF itself an "oldie" now"

Before the hiatus announcement and the TOATL concept was devised season 23 was to contain a Celestial Toymaker story.

And with that the notion that the Doctor built the TARDIS (Susan claims to have come up with the name and the movies explicitly say it out loud, assuming it to be the case) comes to an end here.

That's Krokus, with a 'k'.

I don't think you could call Grim Reaper 'incompetent' in the slightest. Bowcot was an ace guitar player (left!) who wrote guitar columns for Guitar World and Grimmet, despite being hard on the eyes even by British metal standards, was a great power metal vocalist. And you can laugh now at the Fear No Evil video but

No, you're right. That album was a total game-changer. It practically put Maiden into their own genre.

For whatever reason, and I haven't heard them in years, 3 Inches of Blood reminded me of Grim Reaper.

If we're mentioning French metal then Trust must be mentioned. They were on the Heavy Metal soundtrack for cryin' out loud!

I highly recommend the Saxon and Angel Witch LPs. I still play those pretty frequently. And Killers is such a great album; Murders in the Rue Morgue might be my favorite Maiden song.

I still remember seeing this in the theater when I was only 4 years old. It left quite an impression.  I was so sad when Kong died. But guess what? I also went to go see King Kong Lives years later when I was 14! And it turns out Kong's heart was still beating! Yay!

Well, City of Death is quite a bit better than Pirate Planet and it's considered a stone cold classic. That might set unrealistic expectations! And Shada was never finished, so…

I'll put it this way, this story is good litmus test for this era of the show. If you don't like it then stay away from Williams era Who at all cost. Because this is one of the better ones. I love it. You can smell the DNA all over it.

"The Doctor’s dialogue in episode three, which is mostly covered up by the soundtrack music"

Why does everyone forget that the original line up has toured twice in the past 10 years? The tone of these stories is puzzling.

Mr. John Semley serioulsy needs to re-watch Wild at Heart once again before   he spouts off such irresponsible comments about Ms. Laura Dern in the future.

It's not talked about much but Soul Train did as much to integrate America as anything else. It put black folks into white people's living rooms every Saturday morning for YEARS. RIP Mr. Cornelius.
