Got there in the end? That was the only reason the axe was being dragged in the first place.

Dear Jack,
I hate you.

Trans Am. Totally on the outskirts of any scene, doing their own thing since '90. Only one sub-par album in 24 years and I'm including the Trans Champs/Fucking Am stuff in there.

"Leg disabled." Yea, sounds less funny without the brogue.

I see what they mean when they say Marvel movies are almost produced more like an animated movie rather than a live action one. SO much manipulation in post. And with that, that really get an opportunity to polish a turd if need be. It hasn't coome to that yet but it does seem inevitable.

I will never understand the gushing love for this album or this band. They weren't *bad* by any means. But I can't believe we're still talking about this album. I try it on for size every couple of years and it has never hit the mark for me. I was 'there' when they were active and their fans were quite die-hard. So

Yea but Mastrantonio is so pretty in this movie. I used to sit through that stupid Bryan Adams video just to catch the glimpses of her.

Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Kissing

"You know how a drunk never seems drunker than when he’s trying to pretend he’s not drunk? Pretending you aren’t feeling awkward when you are makes you seem more awkward." See in Woody Allen in Play It Again, Sam.

I thought that Sudeikis movie *was* the big Vacation remake. Huh.

"It’s okay to be afraid because there’s nothing inherently wrong with being afraid." Well, except that it feels awful.

Black Flag - "This Is Good" I smash fists/Into my face/I can feel it/When I close my eyes/And This Is Good

Since everyone has a TMNT story: My senior year in HS I took a girl on first date to see the TMNT movie. I had been a fan of the property since middle school, had (still have) the original b&w issues, etc. Now, her father had passed away earlier that school year. I knew this but I didn't really process it. I was 17

I rented Liquid Sky when I was 13 or 14 and watched it with my dad. He was vocally pissed about the movie. You could tell he simply could not process what he was seeing and as a result appeared "offended", something I have never seen from him before or since.

Wasn't it awesome?

"I can only imagine what it was like to see (Pulp, Blur) at the heights of their powers, with a bunch of Americans who didn’t know what to make of it." FFS, anyone who went to that show "knew what to make of it". These were just rock bands after all. These weren't "difficult" bands.

Nick Nolte essentially played a version of The Absorbing Man in Ang Lee's Hulk.

I must not know what 'chemistry' means.

"Anyone out there for Gaius, who is my least favorite?" I loved Starbuck the most, just a really cool character. But Gaius Baltar was the most *interesting*.

I've found that lots of public libraries still have copies.
