And no reason to think humanity will end up any differently. Pretty bleak, in a way.
Reminds me of Kathleen O'Neal's "Light" trilogy, which, after three books of Pogroms in Space, ends (I think?) with the heroes becoming gods to another planet and telling themslves "but we won't screw it up like our gods did, right?"

Interesting. I enjoyed Mass Effect 1 (first videogame I'd played in about 15 years) but haven't started 2 yet. I liked the mix of shooting with story and decision-making. Not sure I'd want to play a more straight-up shooter. But if I do, I could read Rowan's book and find out why everyone dislikes the ending. Hmm…

"Ha ha! Now we’re being distracting!"

Too bad you didn't actually read the comments.

…and then the Ingati said, "You did not really come here to hunt, did you?"

I might put Farscape's Dog With Two Bones up there with this and Best Of Both Worlds, but that's about it.

You're trying to make us all cry at our desks, aren't you?

Lennier would laugh uproariously at everything she said and glare at people who weren't laughing.

And one very short trip to Z'Ha'Dum.  JMS cops to both time cheats in the commentary track.

Damn, you figured it out.  Whatever you do, do not go to Philadelphia.  Do you hear me?  Do not go to Philadelphia.

And the commenters were…in pain.

Rowan, in all seriousness, will there be a post if it turns out that these are definitely not coming back?  I'm probably not the only one who would write a mushy post about how great this has been, but would be much happier if I can save that for Sleeping In Light.

I'm really looking forward to Rowan and the gang here discussing Season Five.  I only watched it once when it aired and have skipped it on rewatch and want to experience it with this group to see if my initial opinion (it sucks) changes at all.

I've probably mentioned this before, but a day or two after the 9/11 attacks, I pulled out my B5 DVDs and listened to G'Kar's ending voiceover several times in a row while trying to make sense of it all.  Take out the show-specific details and it's really perfect.

Sounds like he found Dr. Livingstone and…[puts on sunglasses]…presumed too much.

Speaking of namesakes, I rewatched No Way Out recently, and good grief is Sean Young hot in that.

Damn it, now I really miss having a cool person to have sex with.

Is that the next Human Centipede sequel?

She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie…
