Hot damn, is Michael Ansara as Elric twenty kinds of awesome (and what a great description of his speaking style, Rowan).  I even enjoyed his Kane on Buck Rogers (taking over for Henry Silva…bullshit or not?).

As someone who grew up in Tucson, I approve of any and all Phoenix and ASU-bashing that has appeared, or will appear, in these comments.

I'll admit that I haven't tried watching Lexx all the way through and mainly caught episodes during the original run.  I thought the first series with the four movies was entertaingly weird, but the next series turned me off and, when I tried again in the last series, there were ass-raping carrots.

Oh, man…if "quality" just means acting level, FX budget, and things like that, probably DS9, Farscape, B5, Lexx.

Ah, right!  Been a while since I watched these early episodes…
