Oh indeed.  There can be some whiplash as the show balances zany comedy, epic space opera, grimness, and excellent character development, but I'd agree that EFG is slightly below average.  If you keep your expectations set to "unpredictable" you're in for a hell of a ride.

Not to turn this into a bad episode list thread, but the lawyer planet and Jeremiah Crichton are low-points, and I'm personally not a fan of some of the "comedy" episodes from Season Four.  I, ET is more bland than anything, and Alasdair did a nice job at pointing out what it does well.

It seems like they were really trying to sex her up for a while (there's a midriff-baring workout outift in "Back and back…") but eveentually realized that Claudia Black makes anything look hot and stopped trying so hard.

But he wasn't there IN THE BEGINNING

There's a nice callback later in the series when (SPOILERS) they use Sheridan as the basis for a fake Centauri and name him Abrahmo Lincolni.

Check out the melisma on that one!

That's cool.  Do they ever indicate that the Founders program the clones differently based on the current need and situation?

I think it's less "why is this a move instead of a magazine article" and more "why is this a movie instead of a TV show?"  For example, I saw The Last Gladiators (about hockey enforcers) and enjoyed it, but it easily could have been part of the ESPN 30 for 30 series and parts of that series (like The Two Pablos) could

Yeah, I knew this episode was coming and noticed that exchange and other off-hand references to the Maquis (who'd been out of the picture for a while) in the eps leading up to it.  Nice subtle bit of build-up by the writers.

Is the opposite of batman Namtab?  If so, are you related to Namtar?

I was thinking "ludicrous, blatant symbolic bullshit" from Zack's writeup would be a good candidate for this.

Good point.  Also…

I haven't seen The Muse since its original airing and the older and wiser(?) me noticed something about Odo's wedding speech this time around: he doesn't really say anything about her.  It's all about what Lwaxana changed in his life and how she makes him feel  Which is still sweet and a nice bit of character

Saw this at a film festival last year and Noel sums it up well, although the final grade is higher than I would give it.  The lack of narrative context didn't bother me, but the lack of *visual* context got a little tiring (literally — I wanted to go see another film after it but my eyes were worn out from trying to

While it's obviously not really Smashing Pumpkins anymore, I have to admit that a) I like Oceania quite a lot, b) they played a kickass show in December, and c) Billy shouldn't pretend to know anything about hockey during his stage banter.

Hah, guess I should have checked before making a lame joke.

That just came out, so it can't be nominated until next year.

[Grover scampers back from camera, shouts]  "Trans!"
