This isn't true of most films, but even though most if it is in close-ups you have to see Passion of Joan of Arc on a big screen for it to have its full effect.

I agree to a certain extent, but I may never have gone to see Andre Rubelov - a film or director I had never heard of growing up - if I hadn't seen it on (or near) the topĀ of one of these S&S best films of all time lists.

Well frankly, while I think Patrick Stewart was brilliant and Brent Spiner OK, most of the regular cast on that show were mediocre at BEST, Frakes included.
