I've never really minded the abrupt endings to plots. They usually pay off that abruptness with a good enough punchline that it doesn't hurt at all. It also helps that how they usually end things it doesn't undermine the plot of the episodes or the overall mythology of the show.

Not only was Doc's "I got this" great, but he had two other lines that I loved!

The chronological order of the fast and furious films are: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 3, obviously. Come on, it is like you weren't properly taught how to count to three.

I was lucky enough to get all the DVDs for christmas this year, which was perfect timing for me to rewatch the entire series before the 5th season came out. While I wouldn't say you "have" to rewatch, that seems like people won't be able to truly appreciate it on first watch. But it is certainly a different kind of

@avclub-17c3613df50203d147fc87ccd0f1436d:disqus The first season is by far the weakest in the show, and even the back half of the 1st is pretty damn good. "Tag Sale You're - It!" and "The Trial of the Monarch" being stand outs.

Alien is my movie where I have to rewatch it to understand the hype. I fully admire the skill that was put into the production design, and it is a well directed movie, a good idea, and a cast that is perfectly fine…… However, I've tried watching it like 3 or 4 times(I've lost count), and each time I start to doze off

Let me just mention Venture Bros. as a comedy that lends itself to repeat viewings. No better example than the 4th season premiere "Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel".

@avclub-63c17d596f401acb520efe4a2a7a01ee:disqus No I have not, but it has Said and that alone is enough to get me interested.

This! I can't stand when modern adaptations don't update the dialogue. It comes off as silly and stilted. I would be pumped for this film, but learning that it doesn't update the script as well, I'm in no hurry to see it anytime soon. Will eventually see this…. might be nine months, might be five years.

Well, I would of not made the mistake in the first place, If I would of cared.

Brock will always be the one true bodyguard, but Hatred is a good replacement once they learned how best to use him.

Yep, the pilot aired in February of 2003, though the first season didn't happen till 2004. What a wonderful decade it has been! Out of all the Adult Swim shows I have watched, Venture Bros. is by far the best. For me it is the best animated show of the past ten years.

The main reason why I love The Venture Bros., the constant escalation. Each season has upped the ante tenfold over what came before. Went from mostly "hanna barbera adventure of the week" in season 1, to a more serialized story with a bigger villain in Phantom Limb in season 2, to the mythology getting expanded big

Eat the pennies, they're just pennies, you can poop pennies, big deal!

Heavyweights, or as I like to call it: The fat Mighty Ducks go to camp!

The series I want to see reviews of, 24! The first five seasons were legit awesome, and had so many memorable moments….. and a cougar, not the sexy kind.

Even if people don't find season 5 to be good(I still have no clue where I end up on that fence), we have to get through it so we can get to seasons 6 and 7! The election arc is just too good to not get covered.

A lot of people were depressing in this, it felt more like a comedy-drama at times. SPOILERS …… that sucker punch of an ending was painful as well. END SPOILERS

They did that a few times in the first three seasons, but only a few times. Like with Dr Tobias Funke's 100% natural good time family band solution. The problem is that when the Narrator spoke over dialogue here, it was usually just not that funny exposition, and the amount they did it. It felt like it happened once

Gotta be the Huxtables for me. My dad passed away when I was only 9, and only one or two years later I started watching The Cosby show reruns during summer break. TBS had syndication rights, and Nick at Nite loved The Cosby Show back then, so I devoured that show like no other. It basically became a summer ritual
