Story goes that when McLagan finished his Exile sessions in France, he asked Jagger for his pay. Mick pulled the cash out of his pocket, mere walking around money, gave it to McLagan and said, "Is that enough for you?"

Anything is possible, and I'd love to believe it, but I don't. The transition from the "song" to the "jam" is too tidy to be spontaneous. Also, the overall arrangement of the jam is too intricate. For example, the deftly-played rhythm guitar part under the solos is really unique compared to the typical Stones style…
I don't know if I buy that.
I've read they had to jettison Keys in Germany while on tour because he was too strung out to continue. And then he didn't appear with them again for many, many years.
Tell me about this. Love the song but I've never heard any stories about it.
List time!!
How ironic.
There is some truth to what you're saying, but don't forget the "go-to move" of many liberals: Shut down the conversation by painting all conservatives as racists out of hand.
"Thug" was a race-neutral word until it was appropriated by rappers. When I think of the word though, it still means what it always meant: a violent criminal. Therefore, I don't assume racism when I hear someone else use it.
I hear this complaint from liberals a lot more than I actually hear conservatives using the word in the sense that you're alleging.
This is a terrific comment and articulates my own thoughts on the matter perfectly. The climate is too vast and uncontrollable to reach definitive conclusions about what the future holds, yet many people act as though climate modeling is as reliable as any closely controlled laboratory experiment. This is not to say…
As though the opposing side doesn't use isolated weather events in order to support their position too.
This. For me, when something is "too funny," it's not so much that I get desensitized to the humor causing it to become less funny, but rather that it's bothersome to be made to process so much comedy in too short a time frame. So, annoyance would be an accurate way to describe it. Comedy overload or something.

Good one. For the "her placenta falls to the floor" line alone.
Copious Balderdash
I think a "that's what she said" is in order here.
Agree re: "Everything I Do." Not long ago I spent considerable time on this site vehemently defending that song on some other thread. And I'd do it again.
