So you're telling me there's a dire need for extras who are willing to smoke on camera? Hollywood here I come!!
Somehow I think the priest's offhand comment to the effect that "the first one who goes back to Russia will have to formalize this marriage" will eventually come into play. One of them may end up back in Russia and be faced with the decision of whether their union was ever "real" enough to constitute an official…
I said "the Centre probably felt like P&E were partly responsible for the botched effort to recruit Paige as a useful agent," and I stand by that. (I said "partly" because she never had the temperament for it to begin with.) I'm not sure how you can say it's turning out well, considering that Paige is basically…
Again, I disagree. Characters like Kimmie have existed to propel specific espionage-related plot points. Henry is different, because his "conspicuous non-involvement" in any of the Jennings' spying activities is so noticeable that it has become a plot point unto itself.
Possibly the funkiest piece of music ever recorded.
The intro to Spoon's "Don't You Evah" would probably do it for you.
Well, I think what you described would be the very definition of "getting rid of Henry because they don't know what to do with him," and this show is too skillful for that. All those seemingly innocuous comments about Henry's whereabouts are deliberate and purposeful. Others here have speculated that Claudia has…
"Henry the character doesn't know that he doesn't get a lot of screentime."
I don't know. Sounded like a dope jam to me.
Oleg is going to make it out of this unscathed I believe. He's on the razor's edge, but I can see him continuing to smoothly manage the situation, and just when he's about to be caught, the USSR will fall and he'll be off the hook. Sort of a Pit & Pendulum type of thing.
His advice to Philip about praying seemed pretty genuine to me.
Perhaps, but it would get crowded pretty quickly.
This is not outside the realm of possibility. I thought it was a key moment when Philip talked about "starting over and getting it right this time" during his conversation with Kimmie. The camera stayed with his eyes for an extra beat, behind his tinted glasses, as if to indicate that this was the real Philip…
Yeah, I'm surprised that anyone seriously believes the writers are simply trying to jettison Henry. The writing on this show is supremely confident; it's almost laughable to think Henry would be hastily written out because they don't know what to do with him.
Dmitri chose to give up a name to protect his wife and child from punishment. Whereas Oleg's father could have done the same, but chose not to.
Cool, yes, but I don't think it was lost on Oleg's interrogators that he didn't say "no."
Good points. Another thing I thought of was that, while we as the viewer know that something very significant is bound to come from this relationship (otherwise we wouldn't be seeing these scenes), the FBI doesn't necessarily know this yet, hence the lowball-ish offer.
If Thicke prevails, Kirk Van Houten will be able to rest easy knowing that he CAN in fact borrow a feeling.
"Hey, let's pace around and discuss in non-hushed tones the finer points of crafting an alibi while not even pretending to look at the artwork in this cramped museum gallery."
