Hey now…
The only Family Guy episodes that are worth a piss nowadays are the ones that involve time travel.
Hell, I'd have a real Oedipus complex if my mom was Linda Hamilton.
I'd totally love to be an adopted Conner. That family was fun and in the end, rallied around each other when the goin' got tough.

I think a good portion of America did, at least back then, want to watch their family on TV. It's why Roseanne was such a ratings hit in the 90s, defying some odds and really being at the front of the 'stand-up comedian gets his/her own show'.
Thanks.
I'm probably one of the few readers here who actually loved the early seasons of Roseanne and find it a guilty pleasure whenever I come across reruns on TV Land (fun fact, they're in season two, about the point where the series really starts becoming its strongest at the moment).

Those who liked it for the latter reason probably spent the entire time nodding in approval at tonight's Republican debate.
