This was a good episode all around.
The Simpsons certainly regressed in the 00s, but I think they bounced back nicely the last few years. Definitely nowhere near their glory days, obviously, but much, much better writing than what they were churning out about a decade ago.

Oh man! This took me back to my high school days and all those damn hall sweeps they did between classes. I was caught up in one at least once a week until I found out a quick way to duck into the bathroom and avoid each passing sweep.
I had hoped Mike & Molly would be a 21st Century Roseanne - you know, the earlier episodes that were actually a lot like real life and pretty damn good. Unfortunately, it's, as this article states, just like any other Lorre sitcom and that's definitely not a good thing.
Having seen this week's preview after last week's episode, I was convinced Cathy would be the one to collapse at the finish line. This seemed to be confirmed by other actions throughout the first half of the episode signaling the risk of running a marathon of this magnitude.
