I was less enthused about Mary's return. Seemed a little Oedipal. Ok, a lot Oedipal. And never having been a fan of the Darkness I wasn't sorry to see her go, especially once it became clear they'd turned her character into a variant of Chaos. Her suddenly noticing that gardens are pretty and pigeons are kind of cute

So what did everyone think of the season finale?

If everything is legal for a day, why on earth aren't gangs of working class folk spending their time plundering rich people's houses/bank accounts? Set yourself up financially for the rest of the year. If you plunder well enough, you'll have cut down on the number of rich people in the world without having had to

It was evidently Pycelle I was thinking of. Never liked him, either. Is he dead on TV? If not, then I'm voting for him.

His Requiem. Beautiful stuff.

Varys, because he's already dead in the books. If I remember correctly. It's been a while.

Change it to 'thinkin' misogynist's modern day Republican' and you may be edging closer to the truth.

I'm having a Facebook spoonfight with one of my friends over exactly this issue. I dislike Trump for reasons that shouldn't need explaining, and I dislike Clinton because I'm pretty sure she's acquired a taste for shedding blood in foreign lands. The neoconservatives love her foreign policy, and she's pretty cozy with

I've read the first two of the Mistborn books. I really enjoyed the first, hated the second and didn't continue. Probably breezier than Herbert, but Sanderson's prose kind of makes me twitch. I'd recommend Benedict Jacka's books instead if you're into urban fantasy at all.

I'd recommend The Great War for Civilisation by Robert Fisk if you're interested in recent history.

Any cop worth his/her salt will have some sensitivity in regard to crime scene photos, and the reaction people might have to them.

I'm sure it needs more of Walken playing the Archangel Gabriel, because most movies do.

Talking in an unkind fashion about a probable rapist on the internet is not the same as executing said rapist, more's the pity. Juries get verdicts wrong all the time. (See: the Trayvon Martin case.)

Until the ghost of Allende appears to personally accuse Kissinger of war crimes, Kissinger is guilty of nothing! Nothing!

I think at least one more thing is legal here in Colorado.
