Did the same thing. Though we found a Cafe du Monde on the north side of the city (we were going to Abita Springs for beer tasting). I don't think it was the original location. Pretty good stuff. Thankfully, it doesn't happen often, but when it gets really busy I get in to work before sunrise and leave after sunset. I went for a solid week without seeing the sun. Hard to separate the stress of the work from the lack of sunlight, but I think it does affect your mood.
