Is Community's appeal really that closely wired to TV criticism and pop culture references? I don't feel that way at all. Certainly many of my favorite moments from the show are more based on the characters and great easy-to-understand jokes. (examples: the chloroform incident, Annie dropping her class on joke writing

I was going to make a snarky comment about airing on Comedy Central potentially expanding Community's audience by dozens if not hundreds, but the truth is that syndication (besides the money factor) can raise the overall audience for new episodes of the show. My roommate, for one example, never watched It's Always

At the risk of making myself look even stupider, you say there "isn't any reason not to," but I looked the movie up on Netflix, and it is 163 minutes long. That's pretty long!

That kind of nonsense really drives me nuts.

I'm a movie-enjoyer, but not a cinephile. I've also never seen (or even heard of) Stalker. I couldn't care less (nor would I understand) someone insulting L’Avventura. Yet, this book sounds kind of fascinating to me. I enjoy deep, specific analysis of entertainment products (see: The AV Club).

So is 21 Jump Street going to be any good? Over/under on AV Club's grade?

OK, I'll play. While I get a bit choked up at movies all the time, the only instance of me ever actually sobbing because of a movie was… wait for it… Pieces of April.

I don't personally have any interest in fashion or reality shows about fashion, but I think the idea of having the winning clothes available to buy the next day is actually a pretty brilliant one.

Oh no! I only answered "yes" to one of those questions! So close!

Thanks!

If anyone ever comes back to this page, I made a Spotify playlist for this month.

I thought the same thing. He must be the real sperm donor.

Thanks for introducing that picture into my life.

Ha ha! You're right, I had no idea those shows had conspiracies. Oh well. I'll admit I'm probably wrong on that point.

I should have mentioned this last week, but I forgot.

The Futon Critic is a good website for that kind of stuff.  I think it's thefutoncritic.com. They have a whole database of what's on now, what's ended, what's coming back soon, etc.

Oh, I don't think it was that bad.

Isn't it just semantics though? Would you be happier if those like me said "I love some, but not all, of the food served at sushi restaurants"?
